DO YOU THINK THE WEATHER IS MORE ERRATIC THIS YEAR, OR ARE WE JUST HEARING MORE ABOUT IT?

Happy and I are in Montgomery, AL. The heat index is currently 102 degrees. We are hunkered down inside the RV hoping the A/C doesn't break.

What has your weather been like this year?

Well we had a cool spring, then some floods and now it is hotter than hell.
Ditto, PA.

I don't think it's more erratic, though, Robbie. If you look at temps & weather for any particular area for decades back there seems to be a baseline, w/variations here & there, but rarely anything startlingly erratic. I think you're just hot. And old. And in an RV. hehehe
(I know, I'm in trouble now, 'specially since you're heading my way ;-p)
We had much more snow than normal this winter, and our spring weather has swung from cool to hot, back and forth.
It's pretty nice here today, though.
psst--Robbie--It's June. In the South. It gets hot there. Really, really hot.
Guess someone forgot to tell you...
Weather follows cyclical patterns; it's just that the cycles aren't yearly...

Our winter this year was very similar to the winter of 1996.

And so far this spring it's been warmish, but for as long as I can remember I've heard people say, "we don't have spring anymore, we just go right into summer." So, it must be the same every year...
D's Girl said I'm Hot. (:>) Does D know?
Here in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex we broke a record for the most snow in one winter and also in a single 24 hour period. Usually our hottest temps start in July, but we've already had some 100 degree days.
hehehe... he will... and that's okay. '-)
After a milder than normal winter, we seem to be having a pretty normal spring and summer so far.
'pert near the usual here...wait a minute and it'll change! Spring sprang early...80's in April...frost in May...Planted stuff in early June...I've got little 'maters now.
Don't need to shovel sunshine....all is good!
I used to live in Montgomery during the late 50's....I remember the boycot and "white only" drinking fountains. I used to live on 'Old Selma' road and go to the commissary at Maxwell with my mom.
I love succotash, ocre/stewed tomatoes and collard greens....
Why, you're dang near Southern!!!
A little known fact that I find interesting is that okra has African origins. African slaves brought it to the U.S.

My grandmother used to serve okra during the summer when the crop was coming in both boiled and fried at the same meal. '-)
