People just like those in our group were frustrated by the all of the rhetoric that is absent of action. The difference was they chose to take action; they are starting their own socialist political party. Please consider joining their social network group; I'm sure they are eager to hear what your opinions are.

Please explain the difference so we get it right.
I belong to 43 groups so posting something on groups where I think someone may be interested in another site is not spam.
Once again the 2 faces of the left is showing.
43 groups?
I couldn't keep it all straight. I suppose this coment is SPAM too:)
I'm not interested in a Socialist America. We lose far too many things that make this nation good and great by turning everything over to a Nanny State. The slide from socialism to communism....or to fascism...isn't all that great a slide. I'd prefer to slog it out as a democratic idealistic society.
You present an interesting take MadHatterat60. The informed individual understands Fascism is an extreme Republicanism, not socialism. Fascism gives political legislative control to corporations, which is not too far from what we have now. Social Security, public education, public libraries, etc. are examples of American socialism. Idealistic democratic societies (utopias) are socialist; just as the United States once was.

You must be unaware that at the height of American industrial might, the marginal tax-rate on the wealthiest American citizens was over 90% (1940s-1960s). Socialist, progressive taxation encouraged corporations to distribute their produced profits among the workforce.

Ronald Reagan's erosion of American socialism has led to reduced wages, lost pensions, and the reduction of employee benefits. Reduced taxes encouraged employers to hoard wealth instead of share wealth with the workforce.

At 60, I would suggest you ARE a Socialist in denial. You cannot hold an honest discussion until you become honest with your self. I'm sure you will not waive your claim to your social security pension and medicare on the principle that you adhore the economic basis upon which those programs are based - socialism.
Yeah, and I suppose that if you were mugged and the perp caught, you'd refuse to take back any of the money because it was stolen. You're laughable.
Larry,
Your lack of logic is confusing... Please explain what you're trying to say.
I wonder if he realizes that he collects more in benefits than what he paid in over the years.
Ronald Reagan's erosion of American

Don't get me started on THIS rotten husk. When history sorts it all out..his place on the presidential totem pole is likely to be just above that of Jethro. I was in Californication when he was gubenator there. It's a sad sad day when you have to confess that your BEST acting role was as second banana to a monkey!
When I think of this (and I have a great deal this past week...given the violence following The Vote), I come to one MAJOR conclusion.

Joe Sixpack..in what remains of the middle class...doesn't give a chit as long as no one interrupts his But Light, Monday Night Football, or Nancy Grace.
