For those of you who didn't know, I'm a volunteer DJ at a local
non-profit radio station here in the frozen wasteland of Central
Illinois, and I'll be doing my annual Valentine's Day show on Sunday,
February the 14th.
Which gives us some time to try something new this year. Try using this thread to send me a request, a particular song that you'd like to have played for that certain someone, the secret sweetie, the main squeeze, the apple of your eye, the one that makes you tear your own hair out. (Getting the Object Of Your Affection to actually
listen in is, sadly, out of my hands. That's
your job.) We can even work on the dedication itself. (All of which can be discussed through PM's, in case you're planning to spring something on a fellow TBD'er. Discretion
is a virtue, even if I barely practice it myself.)
But - and there's always a "but" - My station has no library of music.
Everything will have to come out of my own personal collection or what I can scrounge by the show date. And I have extremely, uh....
esoteric tastes. (You can see examples of said "taste" right
Here , and then we can discuss what's available until we find something that suits your fancy.)
Now,
git a move on, you lovebirds. We've got only 23 days to figger this out.
(By the way...For those of you who are thinking of suggesting the
Police's "Every Breath You Take" - You do realize that song is being
sung by a
stalker, not a lover...Right?
Right.
Just thought we'd clear that up from the get-go.)
