We get started off with an easy one. Well....at least we can assume that it is an easy one---Tonight's game between The Steelers and The Browns should really give no major surprises--If you seen my wrap up for week 13, you would know that The Browns are the ONLY team in The AFC who is out of both thier own divisional race, and the wildcard race. So--The Steelers, (who are currently 1 game out in the wildcard race), should take it rather easily. Should...being the peculiar word here--After all-when we are talking Steelers-we are talking about a team that was beaten 1st by The Chiefs--and then last week by The Raiders. Hopefully The Steelers will pull it off. I am not sure Larry Kremis' if physical and mental health would tolerate a devastating lost to The Browns!

So what games have the most influences this week? I gotta tell you..this question was toss up--so to settle an inner conflict with myself--I am giving that status to 2 games this time around. One of the games is an Interleague game--and the other game is a divisional game. However, both games results will directly affect each other. Just bear with me--I will straighten it all out for u here.

Let's start off with the Interleague game which is the San Diego Chargers (9/3) Dallas Cowboys (8/4) game. Both teams are in 1st place in thier respected division, (with The Cowboys having the added stigma of being tied with The Eagles in that position), and both teams are only 1 game ahead of the 2nd place teams within thier division, (Giants for The Cowboys, Broncos for The Chargers) Now--while win for either team won't automatically give them a spot for the playoff...a lost for either team could be influencial as to whether they will continue to be vying for a playoff spot--or if they end up the season just fighting for a wildcard spot!!

Now the other most influential game this week will go to the Philadelphia Eagles (8/4) New York Giants (7/5) game. As mentioned with the 49ers/Cowboys game--The Eagles and The Cowboys are tied for 1st place in The NFC East--and the 2nd place team--isThe Giants! Do u now see how these 2 teams are going to affect each other? Add this to the fact that The Giants are only 1 game behind The Eagles in thier Wildcard race--(Again--if u read last week's wrap up u would know that The Cowboys edged out The Eagles in lower points allowed--and therefore The Eagles are in the wildcard race), and you have a New York Giants team who understand that this one is definitely a must win game!

Perhaps the game with the most 'do or die' influence belongs to the Denver Broncos (8/4) Indianapolis Colts (12/0) game. The Colts are already in the playoffs--but The Broncos are not--Should The Broncos somehow miraculously beat the unbeaten Colts, and should The Chargers manage to get defeated by The Cowboys--The Broncos will move up into a 1st place tie with The Chargers. If The Broncos should lose, and The Chargers should win--well then---don't count on the Broncos catching The Chargers wit 3 games left after this week is over.

The game with the most 'fit to be tied, but it might end our ride' influence will go to the Seattle Seahawks (5/7) Houston Texans (5/7). As you can see, these two teams have even records. However--this is another interleague game--and thier position in thier respected wildcard races are not the same. The Texans are only 2 games out in AFC wildcard race--while The Seahawks are 3 games out. So if Texans win or lose--with 3 games left after week 14, Texans will still be in it. However--should The Seahawk lose--they will be out of the race!!

The game with the most 'put your money where your mouth is' influence will go to the Cincinnati Bengals (9/3) Minnesota Vikings (10/2) game. You might remember taht The Vikings lost thier game against The Cardinals this pass Monday night--dropping them down to a 10 and 2 record. The Bengals however won thier last 2 games--and now stand with a respectable 9/3 record. Will the Bengals be able to break even with The Vikings--or will Favre have his groove this week--and won't let that happen???

Ok--that the best that I got for this week--and yes--this should be an exciting one!!! If you got anything u wanna add--or if u wanna give a shout oout for your team--then please do so!!

As usual I'll be checking the score at nfl.com from time to time.
This should make the Cardinals/49ers game a little more interesting--These 2 teams are in the same division (NFC West)--and so take a look at this

Arizona Cardinals 8 4 0 .667 297 234 63 36 3-3 5-1 3-1 .750 6-2 .750 2-2 1W 4-1
San Francisco 49ers 5 7 0 .417 245 233 12 29 4-2 1-5 3-1 .750 4-4 .500 1-3 1L 2-3

As u can see--The 49ers need this game like you need air. If they should lose this one, they will be out of both races--and it would only take just the one game to do it with.
Ok--that was a bad call--even after the review---I actually thought fitgerald had it long enough to be called a TD!!
49er's winning? Wow.
You don't see a blocked extra point much these days.
week 14 wrap up:

I don't know what happened this week--but some of it didn't happen the right way! There were teams that were suppose to lose (Browns) that won--and teams that were suppose to win (Giants) that lost--and it all ends up with a team that was suppose to clinch (Cardinals) overturning the ball 7 times in 1 game to the team that is right behind them in 2nd place! I mean I didn't see a full moon all weekend--did u?

Ok--so let's see how we stand this week--

Observation:

There are still 2 undefeated teams, however--for the 2nd week in a row the Saints only won by 3 points. This could give an indication that The saints might be wearing down a bit. We should find out about that week 15 when The Saints take on The Cowboys this Saturday. Yes--I did say that game will be played on Saturday--and to make it more inconvient (unless u get the station) the game will be shown on The NFL Network. The Colts will be playing The Jaguars this Thursday--and they also will be playing on The NFL Network. NFL.com did allow for the Browns/Steelers game to be seen for free on thier website this past Thursday--so maybe they will be kind enough to show at least one of these games for free again this week.

The winning record teams and the losing record teams are split at 16 teams each (50% for both side). 5 teams (16%) hold 7/6 record, which is the biggest group for teams with winning records. 5 teams (16%) hold a 6/7 record, which is the biggest group of teams with a losing record. (It is such a well balanced league this year, isn't it?)

There is a 2 way tie of Divisions that have the close race between a 1st place team and a 2nd place team. Both races are separated by 1 game each. They are in The AFC East--where The (8/5) Patriots are leading both the (7/6) Dolphins and The (7/6) Jets. In The NFC, it is again The East Division where The Eagles leads The Cowboys. The biggest gap etween a 1st place team and a 2nd place team is in The NFC South where there is a 7 games deficit separating The saints and The Falcons. SThe division with the tightest race overall is The AFC East--where there is a 3 game difference between 1st place Patriots and last place Bills. The league with the biggest gap between a 1st place team and a last place team is in The AFC South Division, where there is a 12 game gap between The Saints and The Buccaners.

The next longest winning streak going after The Colts and The Saints 13 games--belongs to The Chargers who have now won 8 straight games. There are 3 teams that shares the stigmatism of having the longest current losing streak (5 games each) and they are The Rams, The Buccaneers, and (Sorry Larry), The Steelers!

Here is how the playoffs and wildcard races are looking like. The Colts and The Saints are the only teams that have won thier Divisions, with The Colts taking home field advantage. I do not know why they have not yet declared The Saints with a home field advantage--since The Saints are 7 games out in thier division! The only other team guranteed a spot at least in The Wild Card are The (11/2) Vikings. They have not yet won thier Division because there is only a 2 games difference between them and The (9/4) Packers. (How ironic is that?). The Teams that are currently in 1st place in thier respected divisions are:
AFC: Patriots (1 game), Bengals (2 games), Colts (6 games), and Chargers (2 games.)
NFC: Eagles (1 game), Vikings (2 games), Saints (7 games), and Cardinals (2 games.)

At this point--should the standings stay as they are after 16 games are played--The wildcard games would be
AFC: Jaguars vs Bengals, and Broncos vs Patriots (If the Chargers hold thier current position and take thier division).
NFC: Cowboys vs Eagles, and Packers vs Cardinals (If The Vikings hold thier current position and take thier division).

However--there are still 3 games left for each teams--and if The Browns, Raiders, and Chiefs can beat The Steelers--then it have definitely been proven that anything can happen! Winning streaks and losing streaks can be created at anytime u know! So with that in mind--here is where everybody else stand with thier chances of The Wildcard this point.

AFC: There is a tie for 1st place with The Packers and The Cowboys, with The Giants trailing in 2nd place by just 1 game! (urrggggg!! Giants wouldn't have that problem if they would have just won thier game!) The teams that are still (Just barely) in thier divisional race and The Wildcard race are Giants (1 game), and 49ers (2 games). The Teams that are out of The divisional races, but are still in the Wildcard races are Falcons (2 games), Panthers (3 games) Seahawks (3 games) and Bears. But as mentioned, a lot of crazy s*** would certainly have to happen to keep thier hopes alive. AFC teams that are out of both races are Redskins, Lions, Buccaneers and Rams.

NFC: This a bit more of a tighter race. There are 5 teams that hold 1st place spots. They are The Broncos, Jaguars, Ravens, Dolphins and Jets. The tie will of course be broken by the Points allowed and Points For factoring in--should they remain tied up after 16 games. There is a 3 way (1 game difference) between The Steelers, Texans and Titans. Surprisingly The Steelers are the only one of those 3 teams who is still in thier Divisional race as well, being 3 games out. But The Bengals will have to lose thier next 3--and The Steelers will have to win thier next 3 in order to make that count--and I for one do not forsee that happening--do u Larry? The Bills are also a team taht is just barely in both races being 3 games out in thier divisional race--and 3 games out in The Wildcards race as well. The Raiders remains only in the wildcard race--being 3 games out. The Chiefs and The Browns are out of both races--and these 2 teams play each other next week! (oooo--sounds excitiing--huh?)

Ok folks--That is it with the wrap up. Maybe after reading all of this--u might wanna tell us how u would hope this all work out in the end--and which teams u will probably root for--especially if your team is not in it??
