So I've been singing along to the Beatles for many years now and I always get stuck on the obladi oblada song. Somewhere at the end it sounds like:
Happy ever after in the market place
Molly lets the children lend a hand
Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face
And in the evening she's a singer with the band
So really, what's up with that? "Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face....and then she's a singer with the band"....so is this a language barrier, is Desmond a transvestite or am I just missing something?
Did anyone else ever wonder about that or is it just me? Will someone enlighten me, please? I wondered it for years, now I just thought I'd ask.
