Can we kiss and make up and let me see yours? :)
Game 4

I have to give Girardi credit (just like all the other would be Yankee managers in their living rooms). Watching Sabathia was like watching that kid that just wanted it more than anybody else, reaching way down and finding it somewhere hitter by hitter, inning by inning. I was just waiting for that big Phillie inning but it never happened. He even had Utley 0-2 before Utley got his number for the third time. He just didn't look like the guy I see pitch on full rest with all the counts he fell behind on yet still prevailed. I also think he got lucky a few times.

I did get a kick out of watching Posada. First while at bat his turning around to argue a couple times; he appeared to be right except for one pitch. Also, what was that little base running gaff at the end of the game after he put New York ahead by three runs. He appears to be absent minded as I have watched him also head for first on a third ball or home on strike two during at bats in the season. Another time during the play-offs he got up to head for the dugout after the second out with a runner on third. Oh well, he's a Yankee catcher in a proud tradition of catchers, Girardi included.

The pivotal performance was of course Johny Damon's nine pitch at bat with two outs and a 1-2 count. Nine pitches later he singles and flusters Lidge. In addition, most of these Yankee hitters are pretty patient and that can wear a closer down given many of them have a one inning shelf life. Rodriguez again comes through and relieves the what have you done for me lately curse he's lived under. More drama with his being hit three times, twice might be a coincidence, three times a trend. Was it fair to warn the Yankees too?

I guess in closing I ask, at what point does it become psychological for the team that's behind? The Yankees, like Sabathia tonight are getting a lot breaks and look like they are playing with heart and grit, just plain wanting it. I remember Series though like in 68, 79, and 85 (I'll spare you the winners and contenders) where the Series loser was up 3-1 and then got swept. It was really impressive watching Detroit do it in 68 with Kaline, Cash, Lolich, and McClane. I remember Jim Northrop hitting two grand slams in one game.

It will be interesting to see if Burnett can close it. I'm kinda thinking this one will go back to New York.
You forgot to mention how Damon stole both 2nd and 3rd with just 1 play! That was awesome!
