The LIE between friends...!!! ... stay with me dear members, I have 2 questions in one..

I knew since I was a kid that it’s wrong to lie… Then I started to know this world, and found out that:.. “Some truth could lead us to hell coz people – in general – cannot afford to hear the truth…”

Then I was at the age and state of mind to tell the truth and be responsible for any outcome coz this is one big indicator that we are mature to handle the consequences of what we say or act…
My question here:…. We are all mature here… So, why do people lie? Why people promise you to be your friends, when they don’t really mean it? And why they don’t face you to tell you how they feel for you if they have anything they need to say about this friendship?..... why your friends lie to you?
Thanks to all real and true answers…

People that lie to you aren’t your friends.
Ask me a very personal question, If I don’t want to answer it, I give you a smile.
But not a lie.
Lies are hard to remember.
Do I love you? (in general)
no
.... ha...
ok... - In general- I don't love you either..
thanks for the tip ....:-))
People lie to make things easier for themselves, or because they think they can gain something from it.

They don't face you because, once again, it is easier not to face the other person.

If your friend lies to you, it is because of the person they are, not because of you.
People are flawed by nature. They aren't angels. So they lie to spare yor feelings, or they're afraid of losing yor friendship. They're not evil, only weak. I would rather have a friend brave enough to tell me the truth than tell me pretty lies. It's much more reliable.
Yes.... I need a true-brave-real friend to say what they mean and mean what they say...
thanks dear..:-)
Thanks dear...
great point... ".....If your friend lies to you, it is because of the person they are, not because of you....."
Samaa, I think people often lie because it may be easier for them. Sometimes telling a person what you really think about something close to them creates a very uncomfortable and uneasy feeling, sometimes in both people. So it is easier for them to tell an untruth. And I am not telling a lie; that is what I really think! So, I do think it is important that we not take these lies too seriously if possible because you can never know foresure how the person telling the lie really feels about something. Plus you never know how their past affected their feelings about a lie.
Yes, I know what you are saying. But at the point the person is telling the lie he/she is able to avoid that feeling for the moment. Afterall, I think there are many people who would rather lie than tell the truth about certain shameful things in their lives no matter what.
Very true Daniel...
.....isn't perfect freedom to tell the truth no matter what.. and you don't have to go against your heart.. and I am not talking about small lies... the big one that can change people's life...
Dear Daniel…
… you are my friend for a long time now…
And this how it goes from the way I see it:… if we accept BS from people who call themselves friends, then I am open for more lies and non sense topics that is none of my business in any shape or form… and the truth is: I don’t need that.. God knows that we have enough number of BS around us… So, when I find a friend that I can relate with, I need this friend to be true and real… no masks, no pretending, and no double standards…
Daniel, don’t you think someone in my situation and my age is really in-need to the social fashion, weekend Margarita and a small portion of their personal love life..!!! …
my answer will be: who cares…!!!!
Sure not me…..is any of these information will add anything to my thirst for knowledge and wisdom !! … I have few – you are one of them-friends who are direct to tell me that they didn’t like my post the other day coz of …:” and they offer me reasons…” and I love that…
Simple, pure, and fresh cut of reality will make our friendship healthier and will grow stronger…
If you’re smart, sometimes you had better lie to stay alive.
If your wife/girlfriend comes out with a new pair of slacks and asks "Does my butt look big"?
Say no even though she just stuffed her number twelve butt in a number eight pair of britches.
No murders around here.
My mom didn’t raise any fools.
Drat. I thought that this was going to be one of those cutesy Internet Tests.
