That was fast. That was a lot of the sacred taxpayer money the Rush Newt Cheney (RNC) wasted tying this all up in court for so long, not to mention helping backlog the courts. Very tough-on-crimish.
Good , finally you have two senators.
We should have 60 dems in the senate now and that should help!

Well, officially we do but Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd are absent a lot for health issues.

Franken is a smart man. He will be a good senator for his state. A lot is made of his "Comic" status, as though the senate was not full of comedians already. I think the state of Minnesota will find him serious enough about their interests, and now the are FULLY represrented. 'Bout time!
Amen to that sister.

I'm not sure if I should be humored or concerned. Soon one will have to have celebrity status to enter politics. It is becoming harder and harder for an average citizen to become politically involved.
Well, Franken worked really hard to prevent that being an issue. He didn't even crack any jokes while campaigning! It was annoying to me that yesterday our news reporter on TV noted that the "former SNL performer" won.

It's ABOUT FLIPPIN TIME!!!
No, he doesn't even get full pay - they are docking him for the days he hasn't been in office! (grin!)

So, does he get an extra 6 months at the end of his term? :-) I think he will be very active promoting social justice, and that's a good thing.
Finally is right! What a shame that a so called conservative like Coleman would waste so much taxpayers money! Just another example of GOP hypocracy I say.
