TBD

TBD on Ning

Via internet stream you can listen to a variety of interesting music.

Google WQNA to find the stream. The show is called Fear and Loathing in Springfield and it airs 6 - 9PM CST on Sunday evenings.

It may uplift the downtrodden and down trod the uplifted. Some may faint, others may experience moments of rage and in some cases hilarity.

Well............

WQNA is off the air indefinitely. Some dumb-fuck volunteer downloaded a ransomware virus and wiped out ALL of our computers - And insurance won't pay for any of it, because he ignored clearly-posted warnings to never download ANYTHING.

This is part of a classroom, so we're talking around 3 dozen Macs and other desktops fried like bacon. Even when (or if) we can get them replaced, that's more than three dozen new software licenses, at around $300 a pop. We've got an IT guy who is volunteering his time and expertise to help in any way he can, but he can't work with nothing; So, several business that sponsor us are chipping in and are planning benefit concerts for us, which is a start, I guess.

The IT guy and a couple of donated desktops might give us a streaming-only capacity by Saturday, but we'll be sending out signal literally from somebody's basement -

Because, even if we could get the station up and running again, the extreme cold has knocked out BOTH of our transmitters - The primary AND the back-up. So there's THAT cost-of-repairs to consider.

Jesus Fuck A Shit Souffle. This is NOT my idea of a vacation from work.

Oh, CRAP! So sorry for you, Snagg, WQNA, your coworkers, and all of us who listen. What a cluster f*ck. :>(

I've been offline for a while and was really looking forward to getting back to your playlists, and also, selfishly, to making my annual Valentine's Day request for a dedication--not that anyone cares but me. ツ

Man, I hope a miracle happens and some mega-rich listener decides to be a hero and bankroll all the replacements/repairs. A benefit concert is a start, I guess. Also I hope that numb-nuts volunteer is pitching in with some moolah and lots of sweat and tears in reparation.

Too bad tar and feathers has gone out of fashion.

Well, WQNA is back on the air - Sort of...

Right now we're streaming only - And that's pretty much been a very full I-pod on shuffle. But, with a little luck, we go back to live dj's on Sunday. We shall see.....

Glad to hear it, Snagg. It ain't ideal, but it's progress.

Glad to hear it, Snagg. It ain't ideal, but it's progress.

Well, we're back -

At 50 % power, and with gremlins and fuck knows what all else lurking in the innards of the computers, but I'll take what I can get. Heading in now...

SM suggested trying www.wqna.org and using the "Tune In" app. We shall see.....

Weird...when I tried to go to www.wqna.org it said:  "sites.google.com refused to connect."

Sorry. We heard that from a few other listeners, too. One more issue to resolve.....

At least the studio didn't burst into flames last night. There are still a few bugs to get ironed out, but it all held together....We just might get this little stinker ship-shape again.

Probably just in time for the school district to pull the plug, too. Ah, well - We'll deal with that burning bridge when we come to it, too.....
