OK, so my son met his girl on a Big Brother forum and they have been going together now for three years, not so unusual ( although she wants to get married and he is not ready, but he loves her.) She lives near Ohio in PA. When I say she has made him a better man, this is no lie. I love her so much and he treats her like gold, but doesn't want to marry yet. He keeps saying it's not time for that. She has increased him.
Well, here is another story. My daughter has an admirer who is a guitar man and works behind the scenes with Motley Crue. He friended me on FB ( and I told him about you Frenchy--I think he may have friended you) and told me he was having a guitar made for her and wanted to know where to ship it. I asked my Ex if he could ship it there so it could be a surprise, but my ex told me to have it shipped to his place of business so the guy would not know where any of us lived if he was a scam artist. So we are all thinking this guy is a big fat liar. He kept writing to me telling me it was pink, he had her name engraved on it and he made the frets black and white zebra stripes, ya ya ya, whatever. Then he said he had her name engraved on the case with sequined lettering. Blah blah blah.
Well, it's all TRUE! The guitar arrived on Tuesday. It is a Gibson but it also says Les Paul on it. My daughter has never even heard his voice on the phone.
What a generous thing for him to do for her. She suffers so much with chronic pain and an autoimmune disease. He just posted on my FB page him playing the blues with some guy in NOLA, if anyone is interested in listening to him play the guitar. I love the blues, and he is good.
I don't think either of my kids will really marry and have normal lives--they were both addicts, but they are doing so well in recovery --it's been so long and relapse is always possible---but they certainly have benefitted from social media. Both have very bad social anxiety. Maybe the net it the answer for people with issues.

i am tickled they are doing well in recovery. YOU needed a break from worry. and yes, there are real people out there and some of them quite nice. why, look around this room...there are some really nice people...

well .. thats not just a les paul .. its a les paul CUSTOM .. top of the line .. in other words not just any old les paul .. if your daughter don't love him then can i have him ?? and i'll take my les paul custon in a nice seafoam green .. ok i'm kiddin .. but he's either rich and money is no object or he's besotted with your daughter .. and he can play the guitar pretty good too .. a slow go might be the best thing here but ,, this guy ain't playin around .. i think he's serious .. and yeah he did make friends with me on facebook .. i'm gonna try and talk to him a bit and see what he's all about .. see what i can come up with .. i'll get back to you on this .. don't worry i'll be cool as a cucumber tho ..

Man, I just looked up the cost of a custom Gibson Les Paul....
My daughter is not into relationships--just friendships. She has lots of tragic, big issues. But this guy is asking for NOTHING!! That's the amazing thing. Could it be just a nice thing he did because he has money? What a puzzle.
