TBD

TBD on Ning

It has started snowing again in earnest here.  Supposed to keep up a pretty steady pace through the wee hours of the morning.  This is a Nor'easter, meaning it comes up the coast and then swirls around and comes back at us off the water from the North East...they can be really bad storms and dump a lot of snow...glad I am cozied in for the next few days.

Anyone doing anything special for Presidents Day?

So did you buy the Sleep Number?  I have one; I really like it.

That's a lot of money for a mattress. I'd rather go on a vacation. I sleep anywhere, but my husband has back trouble. If he really likes it, we will get one.  I was not very impressed, but, again, I don't have sleep problems, thank God.

So far, you are the second person in the past hour who said they have one and they love it, Karin.

Lol!  Especially not a mattress that costs well over$2000! And that doesn't include the special pillows and mattress cover and guarantee insurance etc. etc. etc.

I did find one deer antler and two deer carcasses apparently victims of the winter storms of the last month or so also a pile of turkey remains with some coyote poop nearby. The WDNR is asking for people to report dead deer to help judge the winter impact so maybe Tuesday I will report them. The snow is deep and most of that will not be apparent until the snowpack begins to melt someday. Encountered some live stuff, squirrels, turkeys, grouse, etc. When I came home and looked out the window I counted ten deer one after another cutting across a different part of my land. Tomorrow six more inches of snow according to the weather people.

My daughter and hubby spent a few days this week snowmobiling on the trails near Portage, WI. She's been posting pics of some place they stopped for lunch where the sleds were pulling up on the frozen lake next to the restaurant. Very pretty.

Supposed to chill down to 72 tomorrow (president's day) but it will be sunny as usual. We'll probably be out shopping around for spring flowers at the local nursery. Spring has sprung here, things are blossoming.

we got more snow yesterday

Crest.....my son bought me a queen sized one back when I was still in Indiana. I had an old box spring type, with a couple of the springs coming through :-). The bed was really low, too. It was a blessing, as it turned out, because that same year I had my hip replaced and getting out of the old bed would have been a real problem. I have two "misplaced" disks in my lower back, and my bed really helps. We recently had to replace our remotes, though. I didn't know they were so expensive! My son's is a California King. I hate to think what that one cost! His 21 years in the Corps has left him with back trouble, too, so he bought his first, and when he found out how much it helped him....he bought mine.

you got a great son.

Tim....you are so right! He is so good to me, it's not to be believed! I am so very thankful for him. You know....back when I was still married, and my husband wouldn't find a job and save the house.....he went to my son(behind my back) and asked for a loan of $10,000 to save the house and get back on track. My son refused (he knew he'd blow it and I'd lose the house anyway)...... But he suggested that he buy the house from us.....and rent it to us for half our mortgage payment....until we got out of the hole. That way.....no matter what happened.....his mother would have a home. My ex blew a fuse over that! He refused, and we lost our house....and I was on the street. My son has come to my rescue more than once. He's a very good man. His wife is a lucky woman.

I would say his ma is somewhat responsible also.
