TBD

TBD on Ning

It has started snowing again in earnest here.  Supposed to keep up a pretty steady pace through the wee hours of the morning.  This is a Nor'easter, meaning it comes up the coast and then swirls around and comes back at us off the water from the North East...they can be really bad storms and dump a lot of snow...glad I am cozied in for the next few days.

Anyone doing anything special for Presidents Day?

lol .. so that means you ain't gonna do anything then chief ??

You could play golf.

It has been snowing all day here, but none of it stuck, so I thought this one passed us by. Well, in the last hour we went from blacktop to at least two inches.  Un-friggin-believable.  I think we are at the tail end of the blast you are getting, T2.  Your totals are going to be what we had two days ago. But I feel like I had a day off from plowing since it's been over 24 hours since the last time I was out there.  And so far, my husband is home.  He is so tired that even if they call him in, he may not go.

And the wheels go spinning round and round!

My son has Monday off, and that will make a 5-day stretch for him.  Must be nice.  It snowed like a son-of-a-gun here for about 2 hours, but the ground was too warm, and it melted when it hit the ground.  It's still a slushy, slippery mess out there, but driveable.  We're supposed to be right on the cusp between 2" of snow on the north, and rain on the south on Tuesday......so who knows what we'll get?

Me.....I'll be tucked in warm and cozy in front of my Olympics.  And I have a recorded Sherlock yet to see.  I'm working on crocheting a scarf, so that's something I can do while I watch.

I am watching it tonight.

Karin...sounds like you got the right idea.

My plan tomorrow is a trip to the beach.. and a jazz concert with a group I go to concerts with...should be good..we've had some cooler weather for here but tomorrow a couple days of warmer...maybe even tank top weather...whooppee!!

A TRIP TO THE BEACH!!!!!!!!!   Lucky you as we sit in another 4 inches of new snow and 8 degrees.  It feels as if summer will never get here.  Enjoy your day.

The beach--sigh...

Here in NorthCentral Wisconsin my neighborhood received about 3-4 inches of new very fluffy stuff for snow. It is quite sunny already this morning and 9 degrees above zero and moving up. If it warms up enough I may replow although even my little car can make it though last night's attempt at snow. Been busy this morning as I already did some dishes, did a load of wash, took ashes out and had the woodstove going since about 7:30, have to package a book I sold on ebay, must feed the birds who are impatiently waiting, and later today I plan I driving my truck around to a sideroad to get to my back forty and wander some deer trails to look for sheds (antlers).  Happy days.

Sounds like a lovely day in the heartland, really.  So different from anything we would do in Jersey, from the wood stove to taking the ashes out to wandering the back forty!  Thanks for the trip to Wisconsin, Shadowman.

I have a $100 gift card to Ruth's Chris Steak House. Maybe today is the day to use it and eat overpriced food in yuppieville--Hoboken.  We'll see. Too early to decide.

I am curious, how much is a glass of wine at a place like that?

Shadowman: I don't know. We didn't go. We went to test out the sleep number bed, lol, which took an hour and a half, then we went to Outback for a reasonable dinner.

I'll let you know when we go.
