Al for president!

I would vote for Al ....

you might could have a cruel streak somewhere frenchy...

but it is funny....all the way down to the 40's....

funny song problem .. and yeah i probably was rubbin it in .. just a little .. why else do you move to florida ??

and thanks for the vote cresty .. i'll try not to dissapoint you .. my first order of biz as the prez is to give all you suckers i mean voters up there in the great white north the day off tomorrow ..

and here's another sad but true truth .. when i first moved to florida i was walkin around in the wintertime with shorts and sneakers and no socks and laughin at the florida crackers who were all bundled up when it went below 70 ..till i was here a couple of years .. then i was the cracker all bundled up too ... so if i had to move back up north i probably wouldn't survive .. sad but true ..

Brrrrrr is right.  It may go below 0 tonight, not including the wind chill double brrrrr.  My electric heat just isn't able to keep up with this kind of chill.   Last night I didn't get home from work until almost 11, I stayed late to help man the Mayor's Emergency Hot Line (what what I thinking!).  Anyway, I don't keep all the heaters on when I am out of the apartment, and when I got home there was a decided chill in the air that I couldn't get rid of, so I jumped in a hot shower and then high tailed it into bed, snug as a bug.   By that time it was after midnight and I drifted off to dream land until I woke up around 3:30 or 4 in the morning.  With the Christmas lights and the heaters, my electric bill is going to be through the roof this month.   Oh will, just have to suck it up.  Stay warm everyone.

Most of the schools in my area have declared themselves to be closed coming Monday. I have an eye doctor appointment and do not look forward to the journey in the cold predicted to be a high of about -18 with nasty winds. I wear safety glasses to protect the eyes and you really don't want to breath any of that directly. I was thinking about buying one of those little masks with a breathing tube you stick down into your coat so you do not take in the air directly. But in my particular location the snow is maybe only a little more than a foot and a half with not much new stuff predicted.

Tow trucks are doing a brisk business apparently with the cold killing off the old and weak vehicles and a few people as well. We'll see who did not check their vehicle anti-freeze or batteries before winter set in.  I'm a little worried about my old tractor which I think when I checked was only good to -20 but is inside a leanto on my garage.  Stay warm.

holy cow, now that's cold!

The wind chill factor predicted for 7AM Monday is -70. I don't recall it ever worse than -65 back in the mid 1990s. On the other hand, indecent exposures outside will be at a low also. ;-)  People are reporting that their dogs will not go outside to do their thing. Ha.

Must be all this Global Warming ;-)

actually one result of climate change caused by the greenhouse gases is that weather and temperatures become more extreme. so it isn't just hotter in general but rather we can have hotter summers and colder winters coupled with changing precipitation patterns...that all means less food, more money...might that explain why adm and cargill and other multinationals have been buying up farmland and water supplies around the globe?

I realize that, Problem again; I was just being facetious! I'm allowed to be silly once in a while, aren't I? Please.....it's too cold to be up for a class in climatology. :-)

Whats up with you guys? I am hiding from the weather in Spain and we are getting blustery winds and cloudy skies....How about keeping that stuff up North were it belongs!
