I don't get much; I always tell them to keep it small. I can't take all that stuff home on the train with me. I got a favorite DVD, a gift card, a book, a desk calendar.....hugs, kisses, laughs and memories. I'm a very wealthy woman. :-)

Tell ya , I all ways told my kids that and they damn sure obliged . Never got nothing but my oldest sure run me dry of money . When I ran out of money she left . Thats ok but I sure would trade allthat money for a hug . Karen ya sure did reap some great things . Happy for you .

Buythe a ay , anyone getting plastered tonight . I got some wine in fridge but can't get too it .....  HHappy New Years everyone and I mean Everyone .....

My husband bought me a spare tire.  When I leased the Hyundai, the only complaint we had it they gave us a tire repair/inflate thing instead of a tire, so, he got me one. And clothes and a pocketbook. Then, among my presents was a drill box.  He has gotten himself tools at Christmas, so I thought he bought a drill, but noooooooooooo.  He got me a new meat pounder and cheese grater.  Mine were 40 years old, lol.  Daughter got me clothes.  My son is with his girl in PA, so we haven't exchanged yet.  I am pleased.

If I had some Meat I sure would beat it . Please excuse the refrence .....

Our present to ourselves was a new dishwasher, from the kids gift cards, sweater, flowers, gift basket and a fish sculpture and a birthstone ring. I loved all of them and I tell them the same...don't spend your money on us we have what we need they never listen. Oh, we got some food gifts also fudge, persimmon pudding and a walnut cake, pears and a smoked salmon. Life is good.

Life was that wild  persimmon pudding ? Love the taste . Wild persimmon is getting hard to find these days .

It was made from persimmons from my neighbors tree. My husband's daughter went and asked for a bag because they weren't picking them and she made the persimmon pudding with a sauce, she brought a loaf of the pudding and sauce to the neighbors also. It's an English type pudding which is a cake with nuts and persimmons. Very tasty.

I don't think I have ever tasted a Persimmon either, although my mind is coming up with the image of a small orange like fruit that is bitter.  Now I am going to have to go google it.LOL    What a nice gift though and very nice of her to bring some back to the neighbors who provided the fruit.  Very thoughtful.
