TBD

TBD on Ning

Went to the movies last evening...I had been looking forward to this one having been a big fan of P.L. Travers and her Mary Poppins books...and The Disney movie...one of my all time favorites. I use to dream about having a nanny like Mary Poppins when I was a kid.
Well done story...Tom Hanks played Walt Disney and Emma Thompson played the author...a lot of insights about Travers and probably why the story touched me so much as a child. Anyway...lots of tears for me.
Even if not a big fan of the Mary Poppins character or story...good movie.

It does sound good, I want to see it too, thanks for posting, blithe.  Without giving away any of the plot, ending, whatever, can you tell me who "Mr. Banks" is?

First time I saw it being advertised , I felt it would be a good movie . At the price of a movie around here 16 to 18 dollars . Guess I'll wait till Netflix has it ....

I have been looking forward to this coming out.  Glad you liked it, can't wait to see it myself.

Ripley...Mr Banks is the father of Jane and Michael Banks..the children that Mary Poppins was the nanny to.

Ok, thanks, blithe.  (You can tell it's been years since I saw that movie, lol.)

Not sure where it is where you live Wayne. but I get a senior discount it costs $.700..half the cost of a ticket..so not too bad for an evening's entertainment.

Since I can't walk it would be hard too see it at a theater . I imagine they have discounts here also . Last time I saw a movie at a theater was 1996 ....

They have accommodations for wheelchairs as do most public buildings these days.
BTW...I was wheelchair bound for almost two years..not the ideal, but doable.

I happened to be looking at accommodations for state parks in FL of which many have beachfront. They actually have wheel chairs available that can roll on beachfront..sort of like a beach cruiser bike...with the fat knobby tires.. My Mom is in her mid 80's and has had both her knees replaced...walking in sand isn't good for her, so I was looking to see if there was something available at the park...and sure enough there was. So much to learn on the internet!
