Michelle Duggar "Trying" to Get Pregnant With 20th Child

After suffering a devastating miscarriage in December 2011, Michelle Duggar is trying to get pregnant again with her 20th child. The 19 Kids and Counting reality TV mom says she and husband Jim Bob Duggar are hoping to be "blessed" with another pregnancy.

"I would hope, but we are not expecting right now," Michelle, 47, shares in a new interview with Celebrity Baby Scoop. "I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one. We're trying at this point and we shall see if that is a possibility. If not, we are so thankful and grateful for the ones that God has given us so far. We are also definitely enjoying our grandbabies! They are so precious!"

Michelle and Jim Bob, 48, are already parents to 19 children with names all starting with "J," and have three grandchildren: Their oldest son Josh, 25, is a father of three with wife Anna: Mackynzie, 4, Michael, 2, and Marcus, 4 months.

In an interview with the TODAY show in April, Michelle and Jim Bob, married 29 years, said they have considered adopting their 20th child. "We're praying about if the Lord would want us to adopt," Michelle said. Jim Bob added, "We have set up our home to be designed for taking care of children. We love children, and we really believe every child is a special gift from God."

Michelle tells Celebrity Baby Scoop that she doesn't believe in overpopulation. "We have studied it and I believe that there is a misconception about overpopulation. I think that the whole mindset of overpopulation is really overrated," the Duggar family matriarch explains. "A few years back, we stated that the whole population of the world could be stood shoulder-to-shoulder in Jacksonville. That may have changed a little bit since we've heard that statistic."

"I think that there is this ideology that goes behind overpopulation that I don't really agree with," she adds. "It's a different perspective and that's where people have their different ideas, and that's okay. That's what makes the world go around; there are many different ideas and different perspectives about certain topics."

so this dimbulb thinks you can fit over 7 BILLION people in Jacksonville.....guess that kind of explains the mentality...

(and this is just with 14....it's like one of those find all the clowns in this picture puzzles)

Somebody said a while back that if the Dugger children were cats, the Duggers would be considered hoarders.  I look at this woman and feel disgust.  She reminds me of mucous--one large body filled with mucous and amniotic fluid.  EEEWWW!

wonder if the doctor uses a catcher's mitt?

and imagine if they did a gene splice with octomom? she could have litters...

I don't know much about these people, I think it's ridiculous to keep making babies to meet some record or whatever she's after, attention. I do know that I would rather see a happy family taking care of the children than know about that horrid woman who left her children in a filthy apt. with no care or education who couldn't speak.

This woman seems to be another version of octomom.  That still gives me the shivers.

Some people should NEVER have ONE child because they have no clue how to nurture a child and help that child transition into ADULT life without bringing grief, problems, poverty, stupidity, and negativity to an already troubled world. Several years ago when I watched this "SHOW" (probably around the birth of her 15th child or so), I was kind of impressed how organized this family seemed without being like the "Organizing BANSHEE" that "KATE" with the 8 kids was. The children seemed happy, intelligent, and cooperative and the Duggar's seem like kind, loving, sensible parents. (Although the "DAD" is a little too serious or stiff for me to be able to stand "parenting" with him which is WHY I didn't see him FIRST thank God...LOL)

SURE.....this could ALL be an act because they are "big movie stars" now but it might NOT be.

I had a friend who had 10 children.  EIGHT of those kids were boys.  She was the kindest, calmest, sweetest, warmest, most loving woman I ever knew. Her children were some of the best behaved, most polite, and kindest children I ever knew. Oh and she homeschooled them as well.  I will never forget several years ago, looking across the auditorium at my son's band concert to be shocked that the entire family of 12 was quietly sitting over there watching the concert with 3 of them under 6 years old. WHAT has become of them? The oldest girl is a Nurse Anesthesiologist, one is a priest, 4 are in various stages of college and the rest are still getting through school but I often hear about them. The ONLY other girl was the second to the youngest of the bunch. I know this is the EXCEPTION and certainly MOST people should NOT have that many children. But what's wrong with people like my friend, Virginia or Michelle Duggar if they are gonna turn out EXTRAORDINARY adults?! I PERSONALLY would have LOST MY MIND if I had more than the two I had. I LOVE kids too(like Michele claims but I sure am glad when people take them HOME....:-)

well .. its a free country .. i have mixed feelin about this .. on the one hand i think somebody should have a heart to heart with them duggars and explain how the population explosion really works .. and that you can't just pile people up like they were cords of wood .. we hit about 2 billion people in the world in 1930.. from the begginin of time .. we hit 1 billion in 1830.. so it only took us 100 years to double the population to 2 billion .. but only 30 years till 1960 to make 3 billion and about another 8 years or so to make another billion and another 7 years to make 4 billion .. and by 1989 or so we hit 5 billion .. and by 1999 we hit 6 billion ..we hit 7 billion in 2011 .. and we're projected to hit 8 billion by about 2025 or so .. and thats with all the talk about the population explosion in the 60's right up to now , and the chinese keepin their birth rate to one child per couple .. india is on a course to overtake china soon as the most populated nation on earth .. i'm not sure what the breakin point is for what this world can really support but i'd hate to be alive when they realize we already went over the limit .. what do they do then ?? soylent green ??

but on the other hand i think about all the women havin kids with no visible means to support them .. half of em don't know who their baby daddy is .. i mean come on already .. somethin has to give on that front .. so id rather see kids go to a home where they can be cared for properly than just popped out haphazzardly left and right with no clue .. but either way .. it might not be a bad idea to put some kinda limit on how many kids you can have .. i'm not sure what the consequenses should be mind you now if you go over the limit .. a fine perhaps .. and if you can afford the over the baby limit fine then go ahead . i'm not even sure where you set the limit .. 6 sounds like a good number .. 6 is a lotta kids .. i think t said in another post the other day that you need a license to drive a car but you don't need one to have kids .. and i've said that too so many times .. and i'm not sayin the duggars are doin it wrong as far as raisin them kids .. they seem to have it all under control .. i just think they should look at the numbers for the population explosion .. we all should ..

somehow i didn't get the numbers on the end that are the most important .. it cut them off .. sometimes when you click on somethin thats been pasted in it will give you the whole thing .. i don't think this one will .. bummer ...

OK. I take back what I said about disgusting ( but I can't help but think amniotic fluid when I look at her).  The kids are nice people and will make fine adults, and its true that the people I know with lots of kids were good parents and had nice children.

Carry on Duggers!
