TBD on Ning

well i saw cresty's post about the most romantic movies ever and it got me to thinkin .. so i did a google and a yahoo search to see what their lists held .. and none of them were exactly the same .. sure most of em had movies like the notebook and gone with the wind and sleepless in seatle.. but its amazing how different they all were .. but most of em were all movies most people have probably seen .. no,,nobody said the criteria was popular movies only .. and maybe thats what they meant and i just didn't get the memo?? or maybe some of the movies on my list were just too much of a sleeper to be included ..

so what makes me an expert that i can make a list ?? well quinten tarrentino said that he knew movies so well because he worked in a video store .. well i owned a video store and while its nice to know movies , as the owner you have to know what people will like or you won't be in business long .. i didn't make it as long as i did cause i didn't know movies .. not knowin what hollywood was gonna do next is another story and thats what killed the video store industry ..

so here's my list of the most romantic movies that you probably never heard of .. or if you did they didn't make any of the lists i looked at .. and i looked at a lot of lists .. i'll post em one at a time in no particular order and you guys can comment on them if you've seen them or would like to .. i'm sure netflix probably has most of em or if you have movies on demand, put em in your queue .. you'll thank me .. i promise ..

he is a wonderful actor, one of the old time character actors.

here's a full one.....

I know I'm a Johnny Depp fan.....but I really liked "Chocolat".

excellent choice that....

I just watched this the other night.  Very romantic.

Wow.  Some great movies here - I've seen the vast majority but hadn't thought about them.  Thanks for bringing them back to mind!  Loved Nights in Rodanthe, It's Complicated, and others!

Here's a clip from Robin and Marion with Audrey Hepburn and Sean Connery - it doesn't have the dialogue, but just the expressions on their faces says it all ...

I am a big fan of Alan Alda, and one of his best movies was the unconventional romance entitled, "Same Time Next Year", in which he starred with Ellen Burstyn.

a great great flick that one...gives you some things to think about....here's another in an unconventional look at romance...(all the couples in a romance aren't young and say 'awesome' all the time)

This was an amazing love story, ya old poop!  :)

"You are my knight in shining armor..."  How many times a wife has to make her husband believe that so that he doesn't sink.  Sigh...
