I buy buttermilk biscuits at ShopRite.  Just bought some today. No need to bake them because the Shoprite bakery makes the best I have eaten.  They turn into creaminess in the mouth.  Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Tonight I made a peach dump cake, which is actually a peach cobbler.  I am bringing it to work tomorrow for a teacher who is leaving to have an operation.

Sunday around 4 I had the urge for spaghetti and meatballs.  My husband ran to the store, I made the meatballs and sauce and we were eating by 6:30.  Mmmmmmmmmmmm again.  The fresh basil I have growing on my windowsill made it taste so fresh and scrumptious.

I am such a good cook that I love the food I make!  But, we eat out quite often because I am shunning domesticity in my dotage.

I cut out my Pasta's the one comfort food i enjoyed to much the day i started taking Insulin . I cut my taters almost out including rice . It beginning to be hard to stay away with rice and some mashed (Instant) taters . First two months cutting out i lost 35 pound . There you go and mentioned Peach Cobbler , another favorite . I have to leave it along because of my sugar . Mostly what i eat is tuna from the can , pork and beans from the can . Cut lo fat meats from Deli . Or packed lo fat meats . Have tow sandwiched at supper time on 40 calorie per slice bread toasted . I haven't even ate and fried chicken in 6 months . Trying to as least stay under my 445 pound body i live in . Put my deep fryer away . Mainly use my Crock pot . A griddle to fry my eggbeaters and heat the frozen patty of walmart Turkey Sausage for breakfast . I use butter spray or Pam for oil . Yes i weight 445 pounds .

Aw Wayne, I LOVE those McMuffins! (Usually the bacon ones) In fact, my daughter surprised me with "Breakfast in bed" from McDonald's. I dont USUALLY like the sausage ones but it tasted DELICIOUS that day and with my dogs all lined up at the foot of my bed was priceless!! I I have 4 in every size...LOL!!

Well, its difficult to eat healthy these days. Junk food/processed foods is cheap and easier to throw together but its good that you have eliminated some of the "restricted" foods. Thats NOT easy to deny yourself when you really could eat anything you wanted really! Well...ok, I admit 445 pounds is a lot to be carrying around with you but you are at least trying to keep that under control and you lost 35 pounds. Just keep experimenting and trying to find a new favorite "comfort food" in the form of a vegetable or fruit. NOT because I am a health nut or anything, I have fallen in love with vegetables over the years. I wish I liked fruit more than I do but I have a juicer and do enjoy making a juice for a "snack" sometimes. It is FILLING. My favorite juice is Gala apples, pears, grapes, carrots, and celery. GOOD LUCK!!

I found some Stayman Winesap apples back in winter that i could gum . Love carrots but not to much cooked .

Yeppers i hadn't really thought of that . I found a pack of brown sugar made by Splenda i need to try . I have tried the other sweeteners but like sweet & low best . I guess i could get used to the other types . I asked doc about sweet & low and he didn't think it would hurt me . Hasn't been and real sugar in this house in 6 years .

after the Spaghettios incident of 2008,they all signed a petition to ban me from cooking.

I go from neck bones collard greens to Lobster thermidor. Love cooking and I do cook 3 days a week for a person. I made biscuits for us last week.

i cook all the time .. can't say that i love to do it .. but i don't mind .. my mom worked and i was home alone a lot as a kid so if i was hungry i had to learn to cook .. my mom was a terrible cook ..absolutely terrible but then she was an orphan by the time she was 6 and was raised by nuns so she didn't really have that mommy time thats so important to get that cookin gene .. me i was just hungry so it was peanutbutter and jelly or learn .. and i hate peanutbutter and jelly .. i'm not really much of a baker but i remember once havin a hankerin for a cake so i made one .. when my mom came how she said where did you get the mix to make that cake ?? i said what mix ?? i made it from scratch .. i wanted to bake my own cake .. if i used a mix then i'd be bakin somebody elses cake .. and my name ain't betty crocker .. she thought that was funny .. and she liked the cake better than i did ( i never really was much for sweets anyway .. still ain't ) i think i was about 11 or 12 when i did that ..

and i'll bite flipper , what was the spagettio's incident of 2008 ???

about 5 years ago, i tried to fry up some spaghettios,i was cooking it,when the label caught fire, which caught the curtains on fire, which almost burned my kitchen down.i should've removed the label before putting the can on the burner.i can tear an engine down and rebuild it,i can tear a whole car apart and put it back together, but,i can't cook my way out of a paper bag.

lol.. thanks for clearin that up for us flipper ..

no problem frenchy.glad i could clear it up.

You mean that the can was sitting on burner when it caught fire . Heck I've done that a many times ....
