Since i haven't got any teeth left , i don't feel as smart as i used too . I forget things . I forget where i put things . When i write i tend to forget how a word spell's . Thankful for spell check . Guess my teeth did more damage to me than i realized . Or is it just plain old age creeping up on me ?
Mine were impacted aqnd I had them taken out in my early 20's. What good is your appendix? And then there are the tonsils. I had a dr tell me to be glad I never had my tonsils out because they help control weight. Don't know how true that is but I never had a weight problem.
I have my Tonsils unless they rotted out . I do have a weight problem ...
dwalt, my tonsils didn't ever help with weight. My dad always said those things are there for a purpose, we just don't have all the information yet.
It does seem that some people lose wisdom when those back teeth go, not everyone. It might be a male thing. Ha ha.
Haha....GOOD question!! When i was 15/16, I was "supposed" to get braces but my mom had to get a second opinion for insurance purposes. SO when I went to a second orthodontist, but HE stated my teeth were too crowded and pulled 4 molars on all sides. Fast forward to about my late 30's till my early 40's and my wisdom teeth came in and settled in so basically I have an extra set of molars now....but not any smarter except the stuff that supposedly comes along with age....LOL
Well, mine came in about 10 years ago and I will ALWAYS have the 4 unless they ROT so I guess I should be expecting some profound wisdom to smack me in the head pretty soon here as I'm heading towards the BIG 5-0 in a couple years!! LOL!
It's also bad not having any when you can't chew ...
Only three of mine appeared and I had them removed when was 20 and in the service. Actually they were barely appearing and they cut the gums a little to get a grip on them and put a stitch in each for a couple of days. I recall I was hoping to get off from work afterward, but I was more of a dreamer then. I did it then because I heard it was expensive on the outside. I still have my tonsils and appendix. I take good care of my teeth and now get a cleaning at the dentist office three times a year. Part of it is genetic but good care can counteract some of what would otherwise go against you in my opinion.
