When you were Teen's , where did you hang out ?

Some Drive In's , A place where you could play the Jukebox , A place in Town where you circled the square in a car ?

The Town of Newton , North Carolina had a two way street that circled the Town . Kids all met up near the Town Square . Sitting and mingling with their friends . They would drive around town showing of their cars (Hot) . That was the place you would meet someone , maybe even turn to romance ... Everybody couldn't wait for Friday and Saturday nights to show off . Similar to Happy Days sit com on TV  . There were a lot of Fonz's back then ....

Maybe it was the "day and age" but our hangout was the mall, mainly the food court because EVERYONE went there and you wanted to see if any of the cute boys would be there...LOL!!

I spent alot of time at the arcade but I would walk down there by myself because my friends didnt LIKE video games.

Roller skating rink was a BIG TIME hangout at least twice a week.

Friday night football games, my friends and I went to simply to walk around and see who was there and socialize. Don't recall ever watching a game but my parents always asked the score so i made sure I at LEAST knew who WON...LOL!

We had two places.....Leon's Custard Stand, across the street from the high school (still in business), where we used to meet in the parking lot and hang out.......and Marc's Big Boy Restaurant, where we always went after movies or football games. We had Milwaukee's Lakefront to hang out at in the summer.  It's still one of my favorite places to hang out.

In Michigan everyone cruised Woodward start at 12 mile go thru Birmingham almost to Pontiac and cruise back around hitting all the drive in restaurants to see who was there. Of course gas was cheap back then. The best time to cruise was on Friday night after the football games. We got to meet people from many other cities in the area.
