TBD

TBD on Ning

I do a bit of shopping on the Internet and I have discovered it can really be a time saver as opposed to shopping around stores for just the right thing. One thing is I like to shop for furniture.. am always looking for something special and kind of unique. I found this table and although I love the look, it has to be put together which can sometime be an issue for me...having only two hands and having issues visualizing how stuff fits together at times......eeeeeeeee

Anyway this is my Weekend project this week...putting the legs on this table...should be interesting. I got it out of the box and got all the parts and screws and stuff....but no directions on which thing goes first, second, third etc. I have a handyman who does some stuff when I don't know what I'm doing...I'm hoping I can do this myself. Wish me luck....

I just put together 2 small tables, one was so simple it took minutes, the other was more complicated and drove me nuts, I finally got my husband's son to do the two screws that were impossible for me. I had to insert a screw into a threaded metal thing that went in the side of the leg, I could not see it and had to be held with a screwdriver. It was a real pain.

I love shopping online also. I'll post the pictures if I remember later. I found the tables at Wayfair the quality is good and the styles are prices were really good.

It will make a nice addition .

I can build a motor , Computer from scratch but some of this furniture i hard to figure out ... I took a single dresser and cut it down to make my 3 drawer nightstand ...

when i see somebody say eeeeeeeeeee i know they're in trouble .. can you lay the pieces out a bit better and i'll try to have another look at it ?? or whats the name brand ?/ maybe you could go to their website and that could have some kinda quick how to do it ??

and if you don't like silver....

but you can allus use camo...then ain't nobody kin even spot it ...

Blithe:  Maybe show us a picture of the underside of the top. It looks like the tabs with the holes in bolt to the underside, and god knows what that big knob is for. Maybe we can put it together by committee. It didn't say "Easy Assembly" did it?  :-)

Thanks everybody....I figgerd it out...I was able to get it together. It took two hands and two feet to keep it pushed together so I could screw all the legs together...thats what that big ball was for...it covered up the screws. It's just loverly...beeeutiful. The thing I liked about it is the top is inlaided black etched metal with hammered nailheads around the diameter.

Here's the finished product..

wow!! i can't even see the duck tape.....

See??I'm getting good at this stuff....I am I am!

Good job B.  Proud of you.

nice job!!  i'll never forget the time i got rug burns from screwing all weekend :P

was putting together the furniture(open shelves, dressers, armoire) from walmart or something, that stuff(pressed fiberboard) is insanely heavy.... and like you said, not that easy....

Uhuh...those rug burns can make ya walk funny too....especially after a weekend of it...
