long-distance runners are strong

in body and mind

WOW, that is wonderful, Thally! Running long distance is tough! And in a world in which many younger people don't want a two-story house because they have to walk up stairs, hahahaha, running half a marathon is an even greater accomplishment. Please congratulate her for me!

I was a sprinter as a kid, so I don't really know what long-distance running takes; but my Draughn ran long distance and he says it takes a special mindset, drive, and will--not to mention amazing endurance.

I heard this song today sung by Perry Como who was one of my parents' favorites and a very nice man. It wrung tears from my heart thinking about my Draughn, my loving father of girls.
