Could be that some modern Presbyterian denominations are descended, at least in part, from the Puritans, for example the Presbyterian Church (USA), though others pre-date the English influence.
Congregational Churches also trace their lineage back to the Puritans. One example is the Congregational Christian Churches (CCC) denomination in the United States (which merged with the Evangelical and Reformed Church in 1957 to form the United Church of Christ.) The CCC is the direct descendant of New England Puritan congregations, although in the early 19th century a few of these old congregations adopted Unitarianism?

It is the Congragationaist which meant there was no central authorty for the churc. each Congragation was independent. They did later divide into other denominations. Oddly enough one of the largest Congregationalist presence today is in Hawaii.

 He is thought to have come up with the idea that the universe contains the solid (made up of atoms) and the void. Together they make up everything in the universe. Who was this man?

I found a woman, Cecilia Payne and a man Murray Gell-Mann both are credited with the discovery of the make up of the universe.
