Swedish Mannequins Cause a Controversy

Dressed in skimpy lingerie, the mannequins displayed softer stomachs, fuller thighs and generally more realistic proportions than the traditional department store models. For comparison, most mannequins in the U.S. are between a svelte size 4 or 6—a departure from the average American woman who is a size 14.

i used to get catalogues from neiman-marcus. the final straw was the heroin-chic anorexic teen waif look for the models. i called the company and told them i never wanted to get another catalogue from them and i would never buy another thing from them..and explained in full detail exactly why...whoever put that together should have gotten a new job on an asphalt crew in august in arizona...

And what better way to pay respectful tribute to women's social, political and economic achievements than by showing stock footage of breasts? The not-thrilled Connecticut chapter of the National Organization for Women said, "The airing of the footage is repugnant and is not of the level of a credible news organization." The station apologized, admitting, "The video should never have aired. … We are also implementing procedures to keep this from happening in the future." just think...it would be easier to visualise it on yourself instead of realizing belatedly that it was a cute pattern in a size 4 or 6 but in a 12 it looks like fashions by omar the tentmaker...and that purple patterned polyester is just NOT attractive in larger expanses

I was watching some progam on TV about this woman was buying manequins and she was visiting a factory and there lots and lots of different sizes of lots of parts...it was interesting to see.
But yeah, more realistic is better.
