TBD

TBD on Ning

Via internet stream you can listen to a variety of interesting music.

Google WQNA to find the stream. The show is called Fear and Loathing in Springfield and it airs 6 - 9PM CST on Sunday evenings.

It may uplift the downtrodden and down trod the uplifted. Some may faint, others may experience moments of rage and in some cases hilarity.

Yep. I'm looking into my archiving options, but they're not pretty so far - The Ustream that the station uses is free, while the next step up is a hundred bucks a month. I'm beginning to suspect that Ustream is deliberately sabotaging free accounts, in an attempt to black mail them into either ponying up or leaving. Trying to find out from station management if I'm allowed to have a YouTube account, which requires that I have the copyright permission to post my shows, considering that they're full of other people's music.

Wonder if all of these fussy rules are in place because of radio pros, who don't like competition that doesn't have to pay the same fees and equipment costs that they do, even though we don't make a dime off of this stuff. They just can't have anybody playing something that people might want to hear other than what they pay programmers and deographers to tell them to play.

Oh, well. St. Patty's day show this Sunday. Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, the Pogues, the Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly....and NO U2 !

The next best thing to archiving the music would be to maintain a playlist of your shows on the WQNA website. Song name, artist, album, genre.

I'll ask the station manager about that - But it likely won't happen, anyway. Too many issues with storage limits and similar horse feathers.

As if we don't have enough problems with Ustream as it is, the bastards. But, when you're a commercial-free, taxpayer-supported outfit, a free service is the one you're going to go with.
