TBD

TBD on Ning

Most of us like to go out to eat.  Where are some of your favorite places to eat out?  What type of food is your favorite food to eat when you go out?  I love chicken wings and Barbecue ribs.  I also love Chinese food.

It sure does look good.  What time's dinner?

I enjoy eating out once or twice a week,My favorite place is a BBQ restaurant about 20 miles from my house.I will travel to get good BBQ.The sides are usually very good too. There is nothing like Slow cooked Beef Brisket or succulent Ribs. The thin sliced pork is melt in your mouth. They have chicken and fish too.I prefer the beef or pork dishes. If you have room for dessert they have great Lemon Creme Cake (light as a feather) and a Cheese Cake that is delicious.Plus lots more. If you are ever in Edgewater. FL. try Dustin's.BBQ . You will like it!

Dee, I remember a BBQ place we went to in Charleston SC that was out of this world.  I ate a whole rack of ribs by myself.  I never do that.

I like a a variety of foods. My neighbor and I go out to eat at least once a week, sometimes more.We have a few restaurants we really like and just make the rounds to them. We have the best Mexican food very near us, then Sweet Tomatoes (soup 7 salad bar) Black Eyed Pea, Texas Roadhouse, Chilis, Daves BBQ, and Wishbone.

Oh I noticed you have Black Eyed Pea. I guess about 20 years ago, I used to get together with a bunch of young moms and our little ones once a week. Well...I SHOULD say, a BUNCH of moms and a "few" little ones who were not in school and knew how to behave in a restaurant. My daughter had her dog days but her and my son knew how to behave in "quiet places" like restaurants, libraries, and doctor's offices. Walmart and toy stores....MOST of the time...LOL!!

When I was a young mother and later on...a homescooling mother of older children, sometimes I just wanted a break so if they were at a lesson after school or when they were teenagers and still asleep, I would GO eat out somewhere....just me and a BOOK. if it was BREAKFAST, my favorite places were Cracker Barrel and a chicken place called Bojangles (maybe only in the SOUTH?) that had GREAT Cajun Chicken Breakfast Bisquits. Sometimes IHOP. If it was LATER, I would take a Bacon burger from a local chain and sit by the river then walk a couple miles. THOSE were my favorite ME places. And NOW, I will drop into Cracker Barrel sometimes but almost never for anything other than BREAKFAST...Eggs in a basket, bacon, hash brown casserole. Every time I am in Cracker Barrel, I have a sense I am on vacation. LOL....maybe because when I lived in Tennessee and would drive up to Pennslvania/Ohio a couple times a year or Florida, it is the only place I would stop. I like to drive 10 hours as straight through as I can without stopping but  you can sit and relax or walk around at Cracker Barrel and be refreshhed.

My ABSOLUTE favorite foods are seafood and Chinese though I prefer the buffets (for Chinese.) Only problem is they are not NEAR as popular HERE as they were in Tennessee. There they are every 3 miles, ANY direction. Here in the BIG city of Pittsburgh, its Pizza, Hoagies, or Italian on every street corner!!! NOT my thing!

When my daughter (24)  and I get together, I ALWAYS give her a choice and she ALWAYS picks Chik-Fil-A so LATELY I say...do you want "the usual" or do you want somewhere else. At least when we lived in Tennessee, we alternated between THE USUAL and Zaxby's but they dont have that here. OCCASSIONALLY, we go to Olive Garden like last week but we ALWAYS get the Seafood Alfredo and share.

We have a Cracker Barrel about a mile from me, but we usually only there for breakfast.

Love Cracker Barrel but they are few and far between in NY state!

Maggianno's Italain

We have a really good Italian restaurant about six miles from here called Giovanni's.  It's expensive, but I love it.  Always kept that for special occasions.

Flipper, those shoes look like S&M torture tools.  Plain ole high heels are bad enough.....geez!!

I love to cook so I don't go out to eat all that much.  Makes the time I go out to a restaurant more "special."  There's a wonderful Korean place in my town that makes the best sushi!  And there's a great Indian restaurant that I just discovered the other day.

But as far as favorite cuisines?  I'm an adventurous eater and will try just about (note: just about) anything!
