and it seems to prove that politics, religion and public posturing don't mean a hell of a lot...since it is rather equally divided between red and blue areas...

Where are America's least faithful cities?

Extra-marital affairs are more common in some cities than others, according to an annual report.

For the second year in a row, Washington D.C. has been named the country's most infidelity-prone city.

AshleyMadison.com is a dating website for married people looking to cheat. "You only live once," is their motto, followed by, "have an affair." As you can imagine, the site is no stranger to criticism, and they've released another controversial report: their annual list of "Americas Least Faithful Cities." Based on user data collected on their site, they found that our nation's capital is indeed our country's least faithful city.

Washington D.C. had the highest number of AshleyMadison members per capita last year—with 34,157 new users. Apparently, Texans also have cheating on their minds. Austin and Houston came in second and third on the list.

"With enormous public attention paid to political cheating scandals this year, including the Gen. Petraeus affair, there was no doubt that Washington residents would be influenced," founder Noel Biderman said in a press release. "Living in D.C., it's crucial to keep up appearances and therefore adultery has become a way of life for many of the city's most powerful residents."

Biderman also found that the day after Valentine's Day is his site's busiest day of the year. In 2012, they had a 439 percent increase in membership sign-ups.

Top 10 Least Faithful Cities, according to AshleyMadison.com:

  1. Washington, D.C.
  2. Austin
  3. Houston
  4. Miami
  5. Oklahoma City, Okla.
  6. Richmond, Va.
  7. Boston
  8. Lincoln, Neb.
  9. Philadelphia
10. Phoenix, Az.

a funny part is the red religious states lead the parade in rates of teen pregnancies, stds, and use of porn...which might say something about public religon versus private mores...oand toss a little education into that mix and voila...

It is interesting that according to the news and the gossip rags, you would think LA is the hot bed of unfaithfulness...although DC isn't so surprising either....and NYC wasn't mentioned either.

Life post the porno use...just for kicks...wonder if there's any correlation? Not for #2 I guess.

so is utah #2 in  tennis elbow and carpal tunnel too? is alaska #1? does anyone in alaska even play tennis? what do they use for an excuse then if they don't? i was grooming my moose and i slipped?

just my 2 cents but it could just be the cities that made the list did because they're dumb enough to get caught .. or not smart enough to keep it on the downlow .. or they just don't shive a git ..

I think it's the I don't give a shit..

You would know dwalt.

So if I'm REALLY immature could I even commit adultery?

Ha!  Only you can answer that one.  And you are immature, that's your redeeming quality.

I live outside of Detroit and I can't imagine they're real faithful there. They do top the list for murders so instead of being unfaithful maybe they just off 'em...

Well...like everything else, this is only as accurate as the particular people they surveyed and their honesty level. Maybe some people want to brag and some want to conceal. I think EVERYONE has their own individual feeling whether they would commit adultery or cheat on a significant other or not. Maybe some people get tired of the same person over and over. Who knows? I was BOY CRAZY when I was YOUNG but got married young and REMAINED faithful for 24 years and untill we were divorced. Cant say I really even thought about or considered it. Thats just ME! After I got divorced, I dated ALOT of different people and told people that but when I ended up in a meaningful  relationship (3X), I never looked at another man. Some people with my personality would go wild, stay wild....NOT that I was WILD, mind you!!

As for being a Christian or NOT being a Christian....I dont think it is a deciding factor. I consider myself a Christian and I try to do what's right....for ME....NOT for YOU or YOU or YOU!!!  I dont care what others do. I may NOT want to do itself but  I am NOT God and not here to judge ANYONE. I know Christians who have cheated. But there are other CHRISTIANS  who have LIED, who WISHED for something better (coveted), does it make them BAD or hypocrites? NO! It makes them humans.

So whatever THIS or any other survey reveals, be proud of where you live and take these results with a grain of salt.

right on kim .. and for what its worth .. i liked you better when you were wild .. and yeah you were wild .. come on .. admit it .. its ok ..
