Progress Report

In an effort to wean myself away from my addiction to ladies of the night I decided to go out with a nonprofessional last night. Fortunately, I still remember how to fake sincerity, from my long ago dating days.....it came back as easily as riding a bike....and I didn't even need a helmet. We went to a restaurant where we 'got to know' each other. Knowing that complaining about my castrating ex-wives is the kiss of death in dating I instead feigned interest in my date's life. I maintained eye contact, smiled, and continued to nod affirmatively as she talked and talked and talked.......all the while I was picturing my date sans clothes and all I actually heard was yadda....yadda...yadda. We ordered and the clumsy waiter spilled coffee on my sleeve.......knowing that women judge a guy on how he treats the 'little people' I smiled through my rage and said :"no problem". After dinner I left a generous tip and quickly took the money back after my date turned to leave the table. I then took her dancing, having heard that this helps to release the sensual side of women...........maybe it would have worked better if I wasn't tone deaf.

In the end I spent well over $100.00 and 5 hours of my time in exchange for a goodnight kiss (no tongue) and a thank you.

Despite the fact that my dating skills remain impeccable (obvsly) I'm thinking that on a fixed income I can't afford the dating scene. For a $100+ dollars I expect someone to at least fake an orgasm. Am I expecting too much? Maybe my standards are too high.

I was anguishing over 'what do women want?'

Life is so much easier when I know they want $75.00. It seems like dating is using an intermediaries to achieve my desired goal......and of course when you involve 3rd parties the cost goes way up.

WOW .. 100 bucks and just a goodnite kiss ?? i can't afford those kinda dates either.. my idea of a date is a stromboli and a dvd .. and i'll tell the girl to pickup the stromboli and the dvd on her way over ..

I just watched the movie Sessions. It's based on a true story about a man with polio who spends most of his time in an iron lung, can't even sit up, who wanted to have sex. He hired a "sex therapist." He was very happy with what she taught him. Maybe that would work. Do you have health insurance?
