i'll be honest .. i absolutely hated it .. but every now and then a disco song would get me tappin my toe and i'd be thinkin eeeeeeeee.. what am i doin this is disco .. i hate disco .. but there i was anyway groovin just the same .. here's a tune or two i liked .. in spite of myself

I know most of my friends hated disco too. I didn't mind it. We used to go to a bar after bowling that had a rock band downstairs and disco upstairs. Seems like the rock area was always packed by the time we got there so we'd end up at the disco. Have to admit I enjoyed watching the dancers, some of them were real good. We even did a few spins around the floor a time or two but Travolta we weren't. Had fun though and hearing some of those old disco tunes brings back some fond memories.

ok i'll quit with this one .. the one thing that disco had that rock didn't was a drivin bass line that just hit you in the gut and was usually relentless throughout the song ..and the guitar was pretty much non existant .. this song was disco but it was also soul music too .. kinda like a bridge between the two ..
