Are you becoming a bit more "sensitive" as you "mature?"  I sure am!!!
Another good oldie!  ..... priceless!!!

This letter was sent to the Lions Bay School Principal's office in West Vancouver after the school had sponsored a luncheon for seniors.
An elderly lady received a new radio at the lunch as a door raffle prize and was writing to say thank you.
This story is a credit to all humankind.

 Dear Lions Bay School,
God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent Senior Citizens luncheon.
I am 87 years old and live at the West Vancouver Home for the Aged.
All of my family has passed away so I am all alone.
I want to thank you for the kindness you have shown to a forgotten old lady..
My roommate is 95 and has always had her own radio; but, she would never let me listen to it.
She said it belonged to her long dead husband, and understandably, wanted to keep it safe.
The other day her radio fell off the nightstand and broke into a dozen pieces. It was awful and she was in tears.
She asked if she could listen to mine, and I was overjoyed that I could tell her to f*ck off.
Thank you for that wonderful opportunity.
 God bless you all.

Sincerely,
Edna

I agree with both of you.  Men who can't express their emotions usually end up closing the bars late at night.  Or maybe they do drugs or take it out on someone whose nose they punched.  Emotions were given to us to be felt and expressed.  It's part of being human.  I am proud to say both of my sons are willing to show their emotions....good or bad.....when the need arises.  My big, bad mean green Marine can cry.  I think that's a good thing.

I think I am more sensitive than when I was younger, but am also more outspoken, used to keep my feelings hid and let people say and do things that hurt, but never let on. Not any more.

LOL that was real indeed & the other lady got what was coming to her after all those yrs LOL

Oh Yes, those paybacks!  Very funny story.

Sounded a bit like my Aunt Liz, actually.

LOL That other woman got hers for sure.  I know I'm not so tolerant myself anymore when it comes to bullies!

I thought that was payback for the unkindness of the other woman! I don't think that I'm more sensitive as much as more aware of discourteous, rude and unkind actions on the part of others in general. Several years ago when I was still working I decided that I wasn't going to allow other subway riders to either push me into or out of subway cars or to hit me with their backpacks w/o letting them know about it. Since then I've discovered that I can begin disregarding what the public thinks about my actions as long as I'm not breaking any laws. So now I verbalize my complaints about noisy kids who shout in your ear as they  pass by or shoppers who blithely leave their shopping carts behind my car because they are too lazy to walk it back to the store.

Yes, of course it was, Carol!  That's exactly why I put "sensitive" in quotes when I gave my intro to the joke!!

I've calmed down a lot since I've gotten older due to less stress, so I think I'm more tolerant than when I was younger
