Thanks for the hugs Richard.  I talked to Lynn last night, she was in Kansas, getting to Co today.  She has a friend in Evergreen, is spending the night with her then to denver tomorrow.  we will meet for dinner...going to get tai food...was going to pick her up at her hotel down town...yet think we are going to meet somewhere off the highway...because the traffic will be crazy and pumped...especially if we win the game tomorrow...i would get in all of that football traffic  yikes....not good when you are not even crazy about football..

Hi Ya'll, Looks like the Refugees are still keeping this place warm. Glad to see that it is still here. Even tho the originator has been off wandering in the FB wilderness for most of the past year.  I'm back in Florida at Patrick AFB. Probably here for the winter. Altho I may make a run down to Key West and/or over to Tampa sometime this winter. HI Dean. Hi, Lynn, Thally, rhb 1, Bob, JM Kathy, and all.

Robbie!  Great to see you stopped in.  As you can tell we here are keeping the site going and enjoying the peaceful non-confrontational atmosphere.  Enjoy your winter in Florida.  I have loved to become a snowbird but unfortunately my wallet insists on staying put.  I hope we see you stopping in often.

Yikes! It is Friday afternoon already!  Where has the week gone?  Lynn has a reason for not being here this week.  But the rest you......... tsk tsk tsk.

saturday nite and i'm 1/3 of the way home.  have missed you all, even tho' it's been a seriously busy time! 

hi, Robbie, i'm glad you can still find us!

Richard, thanks for your good trip wishes.  i had rain across Missouri, going out, and fog thru Kansas, but nothing slick or slippery, thank goodness.  while staying w/ friend in Evergreen, she took me up to Vail and we stopped at a Beau Jo's pizza in Idaho Springs, for lunch.  yummm.  then i left her to go meet Thalia in Lakewood, and we had a delightful conversation over delicious Thai food in a nearly empty restaurant!  their carry-out was busy, but between the bitter cold and wind, and the Broncos game, folks were not going out, so we had the place mostly to ourselves.  sooo good to meet Thalia!

then conference.  it was brutal, but worthwhile.  one staff person had to depart after skiing but pre-conference, for a medical emergency for his lady, and couldn't return, so we all "covered" his responsibilities (including a few Board members to pick up when staff weren't available!) 

i left Denver friday morning and made it to Russell, KS, about 5 pm friday, so got to visit with RRC and her business partner there in the store.  they close at 6, but finally at 6:30, when we were all still chattering, i called it quits for the nite.  went back about 11 am and visited for another hour.  it was great to meet Crystal, and her partner in the store, Sheryl, is now a friend, too. 

after plotting strategy with Crystal, i left Russell and went to a casino north of Topeka -- lost my $40 plus the $25 that came with the "player" card, but had a nice buffet dinner, at least. 

tonite i'm in Lawrence, KS.  my plan is to meet up with a colleague, to meet her hubby/kids, and see the home she's very proud of, but only stay an hour or two, max.  she's been fighting off a cold, so if she's feeling poorly, i won't visit.

and then when i leave them, i'll head up to visit Debbie Abell for a few hours on Monday.  then probably it'll take the remaining half day of Monday and all of Tuesday to reach home.  at this point, i'm really really eager to sleep in MY OWN BED!  i miss my memory foam mattress!  i may or not be back to post, before i get home, but in a few days, i'll bee back for good!

i'm home!  yippee!  just in time for more snow -- that'll mean it has to warm up a bit!

Welcome home!  :))  We are expecting freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning.  I can't wait.

Richard, i hope the freezing rain at least thawed later during the day?  not supposed to happen there!

We got the rain but the temp has stayed at 35 all day.  So now we have wet everything to freeze tonight and make travel treacherous in the morning.  Good thing I can stay home while Sharon takes the bus in to work.
