TBD

TBD on Ning

Take the current word & form a new word from it by rearranging the letters &/or replacing 1 or 2 of the letters.
I started some of these on the original tbd site & really enjoyed them, so I thought I'd have a go at it here.
Since Thanksgiving is approaching how about we start with one that I think will prove challenging....

May 2, 2010 Update: hey, gang - check out our thread graphic above ^ it's a custom graphic of words we've posted here in the game - how cool is that?! "-D

My darling friend Angharad introduced me to "Wordle.net," a site where you can create your own word clouds. I've scolded her for turning me onto to it - she knew it would be creating a monster; I want to do it to all our games!

THEE SLAYER DUG - check it out.... your name made it in this one! =-)

Dear Tabitha, I hold you in my arms and encourage you

to keep letting those tears fall, else they build up upon

your heart which is not good. Deepest Sympathy to you.

Also Westerly_2 that is a loving way to look at things,

Blessings to you too.

Thank you Ozzie. Yesterday was his funeral and the tears did fall. He was well remembered by many friends and relatives. The moving forward is going to be the difficult part from now on.

I found keeping him in my thoughts and conversations kept the spirit alive and helped with the loneliness part. Everyone says stay busy, get out and get with family and friends. It sounds simple, but it helps.

That is good to hear that you have family close and good friends,

that's what Barbra sang for us;   "People...people who need people,

are the luckiest people in the world..."

Easier said than done here. Relatives are mainly hours away; friends have drifted away during hubby's many out of town hospitalizations and long unsuccessful battle with ALS. Without the anchor he provided, I feel like I've been set adrift.

Our hospital offered a survivors' group meetings to deal with it. A spiritual counsellorif you have one of those. During my husband'slast year when he was unable to do anything, i had to practice becoming my own anchor, doing all the chores and practical thinfs for us,he once did: having the car serviced, smogged, etc. Of course, he was still around to talk to,and after that, there was a big hole. The meories and the photos helpme. My son & granddaughter are nearby and we invoke "dad's"memory often, and that makes him feel like he's with us. There must be a counselling group of some kind. Check with his doctor or the hospital.

I was total caregiver/advocate for him and on my own doing all the things you mentioned and more for the last year plus. He could not talk because of the trach but I talked to him. I will check.
