TBD

TBD on Ning

I had a gastric bypass a few years ago and I have problems digesting salads, among other things.  I'd gotten a Ninja blender for my protein drinks. Then, one day at the gym I saw an informercial on using the blender for making "drinks" of cucumbers, carrots, etc.  It got me to thinking. When I went home my roomie had a huge bin of salad from an event.  I put a lot in the blender - lettuce, cuke, carrots and added an apple and a banana. Later I added some protein powder so I had protein as well.

It ends up being a puree that I can drink easily enough. No water required for the blending. Easy for me to take with me in a container for a lunch.  It never occurred to me to puree a large salad and drink it. I know most of you would probably rather have the salad, but this is an interesting way to take it in a container where you can drink it and the protein powder gives the protein needed.

The Ninja blender is the only one I've got that will do this - my Bullet isn't powered up enough to do it, at least, not without adding water or something.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. Now I have to look up Ninja blender.

I've got to say that I never thought about salad in a blender before I had the ninja.

The cheapest one is what I got. The more expensive on can make bread dough.

I talking about celery and carrots. I like the flavors I don't like big hunks.
