TBD on Ning

Winter's coming....  for a few, it's already arrived, but here in the mid-Atlantic, it's just threatening, so far.  I'm not a fan of fall, because it means that winter lurks around the corner, but for now, the leaves are still on the trees ... most of 'em, anyhow!  and the weather's still tolerable w/o gloves and hat!

please stop by, help yourself to coffee or tea or a soft drink, and tell us how your day (or your week) has been, and catch up with the rest of us!  Thanks for hanging on to this discussion thread!

The Sac weather has had an after effect.  It's has been nice here since Wednesday although much cooler.  I can take it!

Good morning all
Am trying to climb out of my cave. Work is crazy and getting me down. Weekend is here. Time to regroup. Life is good I guess. Have a good day filled with love and laughter.

Hi Thalia! I'll share my sunshine with you if it will help. I have my cave ready and waiting for the "darker" months.

hi, Thalia, thanks for stopping in!  are you one of us who struggles with depression in the winter?  i know i do, and decades of counselling only taught me to recognize it, but not to avoid it.  sigh.  sun helps, people help, but i do understand the struggle.  and yes, life is the best we have, we do our damnedest to make it good, don't we?

love and hugs to you and Richard and RRC too!

saturday, and i went to see Skyfall, the new 007 movie.  i've seen them all, and this is (i think) the 4th Bond character, and it's different but still good....  if you're a fan, or even a half-way fan, go see it, it's worth your time!

Evening all.....I am getting away from the football game. Kansas State University who is 10-0 is in the process of losing!! Ward will be in a grumpy mood if that happens..he bleeds purple.

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week...I think I have missed the entire year of 2012.

We are still suffering from drought....I can't believe how dry it is and the wind blew like crazy today which just stirs the dirt. Send up a few good thoughts for rain please.

Speaking of movies, I am hoping to see Argo this weekend, I hear it is good. I remember being in high school and going on a school trip to Washington DC and New York right in the middle of the hostage crisis.

Off to peak at the score and see if it is safe.

Have a great weekend.

thanks for stopping in, RRC!

yes, drought.  there was an article in the sunday paper about how low the Mississippi is at St. Louis and another 5 feet drop will mean closing the river to barge traffic.  and the Army Corps wants to hold back water on a dam in ND, on the Missouri River, that will effectively drop water levels another 3 feet.  hard times, indeed.  starting to sound like wrathful conditions....

Good Monday morning (just barely morning in the East yet).

Not much happened over the weekend only the last NASCAR races for the season.  I'll try not to get too bored on the weekends until mid Feb when the season starts again.

RRC I'll be happy to share all the rain you need to end the drought.  All I have to do is get it there.  I am working on it.

Lynn haven't seen nor have I been to a movie house in ages.  I did watch the 3rd Jason Bourne movie last night.

All have a good week!

ah, Richard, i saw that the Sprint cup was awarded, to some guy i never heard of.  the names of the 2nd and 3rd generations i recognize, but not the rest, haven't really followed racing in a lot of years.

if you liked the Jason Bourne stories, you must like the 007s too -- this one was lots better than the previous character!

The Keselowski family have been racing for a long time.  Brad, the Cup winner, has come up through the ranks and won his first championship and the first cup championship for car owner Roger Penske.

It rained like heck all day yesterday.  Because people are too lazy to gather up the leaves clogged drains so  flooded the streets everywhere.  It's wet today but no rain so far.

oops, my bad, didn't post here yesterday.

i just saw that you'd had bad weather (Larry asking how you are!), i'm not doing a very good job of keeping up on the news!  glad to see you're ok, Richard, and you guys didn't float downstream!

Larry?

I am pleased we are high and dry through all the rain.  I think we must of reached our quota of rainfall for the year.
