TBD

TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

24hrs left of Indian Summer....then the cold sh$t hits the fan...:-(

Not so much come February but then comes Spring!   I love having 4 seasons, just not in the same day.

It cooled down to the high 70's last night! I opened the sliding door to let in some of the "cool" weather.

Just finished up fixing a water leak inside an outside wall. The house is stucco over cement blocks, so I had to bust a hole in the block to find the leak. Fortunately, it was right where I suspected, so didn't have to make that big of a hole. We had a similar leak on the other side of the house this spring that we called a plumber to fix. They first sent a guy with high tech gear to listen through the wall to locate the leak, and then another guy to bust open the wall and fix the pinhole leak in the pipe. I don't remember, but Dee said the final cost was something pushing $800.00. I still have to repair the concrete block, (gonna leave the hole open for at least a couple of days to make sure everything is OK) but when I'm finished, I should be under $80.00 total.

Dee looked up the check,we paid the "professionals" $875.00. So I figure I just saved us somewhere in the neighborhood of $795.00. Guess I gotta be good for something.

OK, I gotta add in the cost of some motrin cause my hand is aching from pounding that concrete.

You did good on the DIY!!

I'm not getting anything done.  We've got guests.  My SO's family is with us for a little while, until it's safe to go back to Jersey.

Couple more days at least.
