HEADLINE: Beef producer plans defamation lawsuit over pink slime furor

I grew-up on 'pink slime' in the form of hotdogs, Vienna Sausages, potted meat, Spam.  It doesn't scare me to consume it, but some think it isn't safe.

I even let my children eat it.

Under Texas law it is possible to sue as a result of damages to the beef producers.

Seriously, we all eat too much protein in this country.

I've been told that I shouldn't eat more than a portion equivalent in size to a deck of cards.  It's a hard habit to break.
