TBD on Ning

Holiday/Christmas Electronics

I am trying to decide whether to try to breath new life into my three year old lenovo laptop or buy a new one. I am also looking at Tablets, thinking maybe I should keep the old computer and get a snazzy new Tablet to go with it.

What do you think? Do any any of you own a Tablet? Thinking of buying one? Or maybe a new laptop or Desktop?

I have been thinking about an IPad because they are so light and easy to carry around. I think one would do pretty much everything I do on a computer. Maybe my children will buy me one for Christmas.

Quinn, Did you have a Apple computer before the iPad? I have always used Microsoft products and hesitate to try to learn a whole new operating system. Otherwise I would have an iPad by now.

I guess it wouldn't be anymore difficult than learning to operate an Android.

Nope, have a Blackberry Curve. Love it. But RIM is about to go belly up. That's why I do not buy stock in tecnology companies.

I'm trying to find one of these to replace my cell phone. I think it would be easier to use, plus it's got that cool little storage box right on the front and a place to write notes.

Today I finely got tired of my Verizon air card shutting off on it's own. Always just after I have typed a brilliant response to something. But always just before I post it.

So I took the Air Card and my computer down to one of the local Verizon stores and Guess What?

Yep, I am now the owner of a brand new Air Card. Altho I think they are now called a USB Modem.

Who would have ever guessed that outcome?

Well, I'm now using it and it seems to work fine. Haven't dropped anything, YET!

Update, Started dropping out frequently. I went back to the Verizon Store. Found out they are working on upgrading to 4G in the Kemah area. Tonight I am in Hattisburg, MS and the Verizon modum is working great.
