Quick question for all you literary folks.

This was mailed to me. Is it a poem, a letter, or what?

I'd like to but,,,

I know I'll never.

It's just something

you realize.

Especially,

as time goes,

and you still, well,

what never was.

Probably.

But you can't control your dreams.

And sleeping,

we hold hands,

kiss,

timidly,

then waking,

I admit,

sadly,

to my own

stupidity.

Probably.

That's it. So what is it?

Maybe the person is telling you without being , well no , that's not it. UMM ask them out for coffee. Are they trying to hint that they have a mad crush on you or what? Maybe they're still a virgin.

Not necessarily "Pack Up And Leave Town" or install-a-high-end-security-system alarm bells, but...

Do you have any idea who sent you this, or is it totally out of the blue ? Are you sure it was directed to you ?

Well....ASK them. Ask them if there was supposed to be a cover letter explaining the intent of the verse, was he/she expecting you to grade it like a writing instructor before they sent it to it's intended recipient, and ask them, in a very roundabout and non-accusatory way, if they have a thing for the song "Misty".
