STATUS UPDATE

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

 

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

Well, the "official' part-time, career type job is winding down for the year (my choice).  I've made about all I can without having to start sharing with Uncle Sam at a before taxes rate of earn 2, return 1.

I have a little room left under the cap to make a few bucks raking yards.  Raking the woods is more accurate......I live in a forest, and fall yard cleanup entails moving many, many leaves and branches.  I got started yesterday, and took Motrin last night to cover the aches and pains.  I'm getting a little old for that, I guess, but I do enjoy getting paid to work out.....its one of Stir's ways of embracing the capitalistic spirit!

Another day of outdoor work....first I removed some aging eavetroughing for a retired lady here in da hood.  She has had problems with ice dams building on her roof edges in the winter, so maybe this will alleviate the problem somewhat.

Then it was on to more yard raking...this time at a fancy place right on the water with a real honest to goodness lawn and several huge, leaves dropping, trees.  This one will take me a few more hours to do.

The old muscles don't feel quite as sore tonight....I think I'll dip the rake again tomorrow!

More yard work today, for fun and $$$.  It was a little windy sometimes.  One more part of a day and I should finish the fancy place on the water.
