Happy belated B-Day, Beth.
I'm feelin' the pity for a younger friend and co-worker, who made the mistake of letting his in-laws "get them a better deal" on their new house - So that now, the in-laws hold the note, and they consequently feel that entitles them to tell him and their daughter how they will decorate the house, what pets they will be allowed to have, and how to raise their two-year-old daughter. The poor bastard's about to go nuts...

He knows it. He says he's just trying to figure out a way to do it without causing too much fuss. I told him that if was too careful about the feelings of people who carelessly ignore his feelings, then he might be better off packing up the wife and kid and moving out of state.

IMHO he would be better off starting from scratch than being lorded over. Who knows, if he threatens to walk away, the in laws may rethink losing their grand daughter, AND getting stuck with that mortgage all by their selves.

Completely random thought I'm certain all will agree upon...
The cost of living keeps getting more disproportionate to the wage earned. I notice that this is especially true in the commodities' department. Things we purchase and use...necessities and luxuries just seem to keep going up at the most random of intervals.
