A thread to ask whatever we're wondering about.

I know we can do this individually in Q&A, but this thread can be akin

to Random Thoughts in Games, only queries.

Feel free to include the answer to your question, or not.

My cell phone died so I went to the Verizon Store. I hadn't been to a phone store in over two years. I asked for a simple phone and they only had two. I got a Samsung but it did not have bluetooth that would work in my car so I took it back. Long story short I wound up with an IPhone. Damn that thing is complicated and it takes forever to send a text message. My daughter says I will get used to it. Anybody else have one of those things? I would appreciate any tips you could give me.
Bookstores like Barnes and Noble and Borders used to give free classes on using smart phones.
Sorry P. A., I just have a plain old cell phone. I think Robbie got a smart phone about a year ago and ended up taking it back because it was so complicated.
Well..... consider the source. (hehehe '-)
I got an iPhone about six months ago.
It's been too long for me to remember how it was.

What are you trying to do? Make calls? Touch "phone" then "keypad" and dial your number.
Or, touch "contacts", scroll up or down to find your contact, touch it and then touch the phone number and it places the call.
The keyboard for texting or searching is easier to use if you turn it sideways.

thanks for the support or lack thereof.

I am getting advice from my daughter. She knows the thing backwards and forward but is a poor teacher. She assumes I already something, I don't.

Ok, folks I'm back on line and catching up with all of you. Got power, cable, and internet this afternoon! Woo Hoo!

And just for everyone's information, it's Medusa with the snakes in her hair.

Thank you, Rita for clearing that up for me.  Now I can head to the farm.

Yep! Got a Droid. It kept going off and doing things on it's own.  I got rid of it. Actually I still have it.

It is just deactivated. reckon I could donate it to some poor kid in Nigeria? I then got a Blackberry Curve. Like it much better. Larry and Kitty both have the same model. We are kind of a dull edge gang.

I tried a droid for about 3 hours last year. Took it back and got a Blackberry Curve which is now getting outdated. Next year when my contract runs out, I'm switching providers and getting an iPhone. I love my iPad so it will be easy to get used to.

Welcome back, Rita! I've barely been here the last few days, myself.

It feels really good to catch up a little tonight.
