Suggestions anyone?

Right now take-out Chinese sounds good. Except my favorite place doesn't deliver and I don't want to go out. In the heat. And the rain. And the Tornado warning.

Stadum Brats on whole wheat bread with Spicy Brown Mustard and sweet relish followed with Peanut Butter cookies. washed down with GEROLSTEINER natural mineral water.

Sounds good on both accounts Merry & CWO.   I had 2 homemade chicken breakfast sausage patties (okay) w/ french toast made from those silly "rounds"....Not great but not awful.  The syrup was the best part.   :0)

I preheated the grill for the smothered steak, and ran out of propane. Will have the steak tomorrow, and settle for cheese raviolies with home made sauce and romano cheese.

Our season here in Maine starts late and so I just got to have the first beefsteak tomato sandwich of the year, not to mention the first in a few years as there's been lapse in my gardening efforts. I don't know if it was genetically modified or not but omg it was the best beefsteak tomato that I've ever had. Alot more beef than seeds. Now I'm kicking myself for not writing down the name of this kind of tomato so I can get it again next year. The cherry tomatoes were huge for cherry tomatoes but ho hum when it came to flavor.

Penne Pasta w/Vodka Sauce, into which I folded last night's leftover Italian sausage & sauteed mushrooms, onions, roasted red peppers & summer squash. It was quite good, but the 2nd night in a row that I've tasted my dinner right off the stove & burnt my tongue! :-(

 

...the best, sweetest things I've had today haven't been food, but the most tender words of love...

this morning via text, & just now via e-mail. I can't wait for "after work" time to arrive in California so I can hear those words in my ear, or better yet, even see my sweetie on a Skype visit. sigh... ❤
