it looks like we're winding down, and nobody bothered to open a discussion today, so i thought i'd just set up a thread for this month, and let whoever wanders in, whenever, post to it.  if our moderator wants to do something differently, you'll doubtless hear about it.

after realizing that i didn't need to move to MI, i'm going to Staunton, VA, the last week of this month, and thinking to plant myself there for the rest of my life.  no other roots yet, other than that's the home of the state's premier mental institution, altho' i've never (yet) been there.

the remnants of Independence Day week must be going slowly, since nobody's been here.  

yeah, i don't want to sign off tbd completely, but i realize that facecrack is taking over and all the follow-ons to TBD are slowly fading into oblivion.  still, i'm grateful for the people that Robyn's creation let me connect with, and i am glad to have that facecrack thingee so i don't lose track of my online friends completely.  

if nobody else starts in August, we can just sign off.  i'll be on the road that month.

Morning all...

I am dragging today for some reason..might be that I had a headache all day yesterday, I thought it was from the heat but I think it might have been NO caffeine in my system. Not so today!!

Yep, I learned years ago that "No Caffeine" Means headaches for one or two days.

Good afternoon,

Am in Florence Oregon, sitting by the river in my friends motor home.  Took a drive to yahatts (sp?) to walk on the beach as you cannot see the ocean from where we are.  Had a glorious afternoon.  Have not had internet for a couple of days, wow miss it when I don't, what did we do before wi fi  and cell phones.

It sounds as if Cat is getting ready for the big day, oh how I wish I could be there, would be so much fun to meet all of you, another time

The weather has been glorious for me the entire trip, except for a couple of cloudy days in Prineville, I have been blessed

Richard sorry I didn't get to Portland, maybe next year if star is still around, I think I will fly to Portland and rent a car instead of driving, love the drive here, am not looking forward to the drive back...yuck...am leaving here on Thursday morning and should be back in Colorado Saturday afternoon, depending on how far I drive the first day,

is a long drive and have driven so far on this trip over 2,000 miles...

That's alright Thally.  I hope star is still around next year for her sake.  I enjoy the drive through the mountains from here to Bend.  There are flights from Portland to Redmond/Bend then rent a car there as an option.  Drive carefully and safely on your way home.

Good Morning everyone.Today is my turn to be out mowing this morning. Susposed to hit 97 today. We have 93% humidity right now. They should have named this area "the Foggy Mountains."

I like that idea with the a/c on the lawnmower.  Does yours have one?

No Cat it doesn't but then we don't get hot enough for AC either.  If it takes me more than 10 minutes to cut the grass I am over doing it.  LOL

Hey guess what? It is going to be hot again today!! Looking for highs up to 108 and lucky us...the wind is going to blow too! OH BOY!

I realized I had made reservations for the trip TO Pittsburgh but forgot all about the trip home. LOL
