I was in Houston one day and one night. I heard a Texas joke there:

What is the difference between Texas and yogurt?

Yogurt has culture.

If you're here long enough, learn the words to "The Eyes of Texas" and the pledge of allegance to the state flag.....you can be "Texanized"..... but.....you have to be born here to be a Texan.

And then there's this one..

"What's the difference between a truck driver's boots and a Texan's boots"?

.........the truck driver's boots have the shit on the inside.

I was in Houston with a co-worker on a service call and after we were finished went out that night to a bar since we were flying back to NY the next morning. We had been admonished multiple times by our manager not to talk to the locals about politics or religion lest we be branded as Anti-Christs. While we were in the bar a fight broke out so we just tried to remain inconspicuous. As soon as the cops arrived they said "Okay, everyone place their weapons on the table". More than half the people in the bar took out guns and put them on their table or bar top.

visited 19 states (38%)
So far, no one on tbd has posted that they have been in all 51 States. I wonder what percentage of US residents have? wonder if Wiki has that info?

Seems nobody knows. Greyhound did an interesting study, but did not have an answer to my question. However they have a lot of other interesting statistics. Most visited State? Florida, followed by Calif and New York. Least visited? Alaska.

another interesting web site is:

Kooner, How many countries? Your profile doesn't say.

This is about what the streets of Saigon(Ho Chi Minh City) looked like

back when I was running convoys through it. Except there were more bicycles and Military vehicles.

Great new pic, Robbie (the one that's your avatar). Is that from your current tour in Livingston, TX?
Afternoon d's. Been lonely around here today.
Afternoon, P.A. Sorry I missed you earlier. I'd popped in for a minute after work, but had to leave for a dentist appt. & then hours of errands to run. I'm so tired now. I hope I can get a good night's sleep tonight. There's a terrible thunderstorm brewing w/fierce thunder & lightning right now.
