What is this "moderation"?

I just ate half a bag of potato chips.

I've heard that balance is that thing I swing past as I go from one extreme to the other.

Moderation's like that too, isn't it? :-(

I mean if you believe that , what to do you say to your friend that wants to do heroin in "moderation"?

Instead of doing 3 large doses of heroin per day, they should really do a lot of little doses throughout the day. I've heard that's healthier.
