It's actually not bad right now, but we still had some rain this morning.  My driveway is paved, but it gets covered with mud when we get weather like this.  My car just slides down it onto the street when I back out.
Alabama had fierce tornadoes - over 30 people were killed! I'm calling my parents right now to check on them.
Our weather has finally calmed down. No rain or thunder or tornadoes for almost 2 hours. Maybe it is over for a while.
I'm hoping it's not heading here, P.A., but I stopped @ HD on my way home & bought bags of top soil to use like sandbags. I'm going to go get them out of my car now & drop them in the danger zones.

Now I smell like manure. The top soil came from an organic farm. Very organic, I'd say.

Talked to my parents. They & everyone they know, as far as they know, survived the storms & tornadoes that hit Alabama. My step-mom said there's news of other fatalities, so it seems to be closer to 40 people killed there today. That's just terrible.

Two pretty nasty storm systems this past week. There were 5 tornados in east Texas yesterday, but no deaths.
50-some degrees of various wet....with some greening going on but not much.
Sixty something dead here. It will be higher by daylight. Almost all within a 15 mile radius of me. Two friends and co-workers have lost their homes. It ain't gonna be pretty when the sun comes up.
I'm so sorry. That's terrible.

Poor Alabama.  I hear they got hit bad with hundreds dead.

We're looking pretty clear.  The lake (in the valley below me) is looking really high though.  I bet some of the houses around it are pretty damp inside.

Sunshine and blue skies but a bit chilly for late April. At least it appears the storms are gone for a while anyway.
My friend Chris, just sent me this pic of his home. It's about 15 miles from here.
