STATUS UPDATE

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

 

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

There are still tornadoes going on around here.  The forecast just doesn't end: Rain, rain, thunderstorms, rain, tornadoes, rain and thunderstorms.

I've been watching severe storms to the southeast of Ft. Worth for the last 2 hours...the local tv stations have copters in the air shooting video of 2 funnels trying to form right now.

It is the same here Faye. We just get them a few hours after you do. Now they are calling for flooding which kind of scares people around here because of what happen almost exactly a year ago. I live on a hill so I am safe from that at least.

It was grey and rainy around here....much like a late October, early November day.

We skipped right over Spring and have gone right into summer...85+ the last three days.

I don't know how to put Q's Wiki spin on this status update... Ducatiman & I are bicycling in a Tour de Cure fund raising event for the American Diabetes Association next month. Until recently I had not ridden a bike since I was about 14 yrs. old. I registered for the shortest ride - 8 miles - & have been somewhat apprehensive about whether or not I can actually cycle 8 miles - 4 is the most I've ridden so far. I just found out the initial intel of the 8 mile ride was incorrect. It's 10. :-P
