Give a report if you are getting snow or just come by and brag about your lack thereof.

Six inches now and it's still coming down hard.  Those weather gurus predicted a top end of 16" of snow for us.

The birds are having a convention at the feeders.  Pretty cool.

No snow for us.

Yet.

But, I'll take snow over the inch of ice coating everything.

LOL...You got that right......Summer can be miserable, so grant me the happiness a Florida winter can bring...Along with the reduction in mosquitoes this time of year the warmer weather brings them out to.....No Outdoor Bar-b-q's when the sun starts to set with those little buggers out hunting blood....
About an inch of ice under everything unsalted, an inch of snow on top of that and growing fast.

Supposed to getting very cold tonight but no snow.

From my Google home page:

..."The storm cut a 2,100-mile swathe across the country and has the potential to impact about 100 million people, or one-third of the U.S. population, according to The Weather Channel.

The National Weather Service's national map of advisories and warnings was a patchwork of different color-coded alerts, showing a country under siege by the storm.

As the storm began its trek, it brought a bit of everything: ice, sleet and snow — even tornadoes in the South were possible."

DAMN!

I am literally LOLing...

Talking with a friend last night about this weather I said, "I'm good, I have bourbon."

She just emailed me this:

Dallas/Ft. Worth....half inch to an inch of ice w/ about an inch of snow on top. Love field airport......1 runway open all day. DFW airport....closed early this morning, no flights in or out, 2 runways open middle of the day...back to one now, hundreds of flights cancelled....most roads still treacherous.

Predicted low tonight.....9 degrees  w/wind chills at minus ten degrees....lowest overnight temps since 1996 when it reached 10 below.

No more precip.......just freakin' cold. High temp. tomorrow.....21 degrees.

There are major traffic arteries that have been closed since around 6 this morning due to tractor-trailers jack-knived on interchanges.
Cool, I'm in the liquor store swath.
