Is everyone sober?
I had a glass of Champaign that tasted like kerosene.
The hors- de-oeuvres were great also and the smoked salmon was the best part.
They are shooting fireworks outside.
Time for bed.

no mail for 3 days, the oil tank ( heat) is ready to run out ( and the truck can't get up the hill here with the bad snowy/icy streets.),

streets are a worse mess than I ever saw in my life, no trash pick up, trash cans all piled up from holiday garbage, they never salted/sanded or had a real plow up here,

no newspaper delivery, running low on booze, pay the highest taxes in the USA or close to it,

also car insurance is sky high,

the Governor and 2nd Lt. Governor are in Fla. and Mexico on vacation.

Oh, Beth! That's terrible! And shame on your gov. & lt. gov.! Even tho these vacations were no doubt planned before the blizzard, they should be back if for nothing more than solidarity!

Sorry to hear about that awful mess...hope some of it clears up soon. Can't hold out much hope about the taxes though.

My Mom was from Highlands...love that area..been there many times.

the hill I live on is the highest hill from some place in the Carolinas to the Atlantic Highlands.

on the Eastern Shore.

I did get out to the beer store.

Driving 1 MPH.

Mission accomplished.

And a carpenter friend that has a good 4x4 truck got some big jerry

jugs full of oil and put it in the oil tank for heat. God bless his soul.

Still this is a rant page. The darn trash robo bins are all full. It looks like when NYC had the trash strike back in the day.

People every day are bitching and complaining in the newspaper still today, some streets weren't plowed. It is terrible. 12,000 dollars a year for taxes is what people pay on this street. They are not big fancy houses, and have small yards.

They are just regular type houses. It is a rip off.
