TBD

TBD on Ning

Suggestions anyone?

Right now take-out Chinese sounds good. Except my favorite place doesn't deliver and I don't want to go out. In the heat. And the rain. And the Tornado warning.

Do you like Chinese food?

Fried Cod. Local Cafeteria has 2 dollar fish on Tuesdays and 2 dollar Chicken fried steak on Thursdays.
that would almost be worth a drive to Texas
Only includes meat. If you want vegtable with it that is another two dollars.
Hey, I'm a guy....I don't want no stinkin' veggies!
I usually don't complain about my evening meals. You know how that goes. Don't upset the cook...but....tonight it's cardboard with meat sprinkled on top....aka frozen pizza.
That's painful.
Does it have any redeeming value? Pepperoni?
Pepperoni cubes and something that looks like cheese. I should just scrape off the toppings and just eat that. :-)
Dave went to see a nutritionist today. Doctor's orders. He is going to the grocery store in the morning to start a new way and what to eat. It says NO CHIPS. This should be interesting. Have you ever seen a grown man go into chip withdrawals?? It is not a pretty sight.

Dot, if he has to change his eating habits, maybe this will help - click here. Funny, it was one of the articles on the Yahoo page this morning, and I thought about sharing it here anyway. Maybe the Eat This, Not That newsletter will be helpful for him.
Do you mean this, Steve? It's also called chayote, or sayote, and the French call it christophine or chou-chou. It is delicious, I agree!

Sechium edule - with a name like that, no wonder he looks bewildered!
Ham steaks on the grill, cucumber/tomato salad, roasted veggies [butternut, sweet potato, cauliflower, white potatoes] and Colorado peaches.
And I didn't even have to cook it!!
Well, tonight I stopped at Subway because I was in the big city. I got one of those Cuban pulled pork sandwiches that they've been advertising lately. Apparently, a fat kid sat on it before they gave it to me, as it was so thin it bore no resemblance to the one on the TV ads or the one on the poster in the store. The "pulled pork" was kinda stringy and tough, but hey, its Subway, the land of surreality. No wonder Jared lost all that weight eating their food. ~sigh~
We've been to Shoney's and I ate soup and salad strawberry shortcake for dessert. Caleb ate meatload and mashed potatos with Peachs for dessert
